Mario Kart - best selling racing series ever
Smash bros - best selling fighting game ever
Donkey Kong - 2nd best selling side scroller of all time (other then Mario)
Hyrule Warriors - Dynasty Warriors + Zelda = Massive Japanese Sales
Wii Fit - 43 million sold on Wii (Between the original and plus) - people keep forgetting this one
Bayonetta - Big in Japan / will pull in a few from the hardcore crowd.
X - Could be massive in Japan / will push 1 million in the US.

Come on now unless the Vita gets a true new GTA and Monster Hunter 5, is this really a debate.

Vita outsold Wii U in 2013. Yes it's up for debate.

Well, I thought WiiU would pass Vita last year - and early last year at that - and we know how that turned out.

Seriously though, WiiU will pass it this year.

with Mario Kart and Smash Bros coming up WiiU is in a strong position to overtake the Vita, yet it's not 100% certain, because there is a small chance Vita might become popular as a companion device for the PS4 in Japan or some other freak accident happening, like an unexpected system seller or sth

It's a difficult to know i think is possible to psv to sold more then wii u lifetime due to Japan,psv star to do well in Japan and maybe because of that we will have game like Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid and those games are also popular in west and this will push west third party to support more Vita.
