Also, since Nintyy/Ms sold 180 m last gen vs 80 for PS3, didn't Sony already have the lead in the past and they have lost it?

Seeing as you're pulling numbers out of your ass for this for Sony and Microsoft, I'm gonna say it's a bit early to make a claim like that. It is a lot closer than I thought though. Sony has to maintain well over a 50% market share for the whole generation though, and I don't think they can do it. PS4 might outsell Xbone and Wii U combined, but not by enough.
PS3 won't sell 95mil.
But PS4 still will outsell Wii U + X1 this year
PS3 continues to outsell 360 and wii combined, and has for a long time. PS4 will be approaching 50% by the end of the holidays, we'll see.
This thread ,until now, reminds me of 2007's VGChart threads. I like it.

Guess it depends on how much time passes between MS leaving the console hardware business and Sony bowing out. They already said PS5 will be a digital platform, so if they don't exceed 50% market share this gen, it'll never happen.
If you're in the mood for a really snarky response, Sony would first have to return to the console-making business in order to sell consoles, because right now they're just selling PCs.

Actually, last week was the first time it outsold them combined for 2.5 months.
