A new 3D DK? Yes please. While I'd prefer Retro working on something else (*cough* Metroid *cough* Eternal Darkness *cough*) I really wouldn't mind a 3D DK from them.

This. A full 3D DK game from Retro will be accepted.

Yes. But Metroid Prime 4 first, please. Then 3D DK a short while later. According to Miyamoto Retro's capable of handling 2 projects simultaneously now, so that should be fine.

The only annoying thing I can think of are the push sheep in center hole game with lanky and the OG DK game. I HATED those!!!

According to the president of Retro, they can only handle one big project and one small collaborative project simultaniously. So, no MP4 and 3D DK in the same 1-2 years.

Hm, when did he mention that?

That's relatively recent. To support that claim by Miyamoto; Retro's been hiring developers from other big studios like crazy for the past 2 years or so, they've been greatly expanding.

We’re pretty much on one major project at a time. We do a game every two years or three years. In the first year of that, we have some extra bandwidth, so sometimes… We helped out with Mario Kart 7. We helped Monster Games do the 3DS version. Sometimes we’ll have a little bit of extra bandwidth to help out other entities at Nintendo. We really feel strongly about helping out Nintendo as a whole, so if we have time, we’ll do that. Do we have the bandwidth to do two major projects at once? I don’t think so. A big project and a little project at the same time, we can do that.

The only reason they've been hiring new folks is because a good deal of artists left Retro after the Prime series and Returns. They've only expanded by about 20 employees, which doesn0t guarantee another full team.

Well, that's a quote from around E3, Miyamoto's statement came quite some months later.

There was no major hiring following E3. Myamotto was also talking about the big-small project thinggy.

We'll see, we'll see. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if they were working on another big title besides DKC right now. Besides, even if they only have enough resources to do 1 big and 1 small project simultaneously, that means they could be readying a big game, while a smaller team is already busy with their next big one.
