I know you are talking about Smash Bros, and I agree that the move is questionable but Brawl was the best selling fighting game ever at 12 million copies so  I really think its big enough to sell great on both platforms.   Either way from the videos that have been shown, its pretty clear that the 3DS version is vastly inferior, and is just being done because the 3DS lineup this year looks pretty light.    I dont know if you read the article but the mention of the Pokken Fighters and the vast scope of these new games leads me to think that this is defidently a Wii U game.    The 3DS could barely handle X & Y, how is it going to do high res graphics, with a massive overworld and a ton of new online elements.     if the story is fake then that sucks but lets just hope its real.

How do we know its years in advance?    We only saw SM3DW, Wind Waker HD, and ALBW a few months in advance.  If that Pokken Fighters video is from this new game then its pretty clear that whatever this is, is far along in development.

It would be awesome if it was true but I'm not getting my hopes up. I dislike disappointment.

I still haven't played X (waiting for Pokemon Bank), and same for me. Although, I thought (maybe assumed) Banjo Kazooie was your favorite.

Yea I feel ya.  I have to be honest Nintendo in terms of 3DS games has shocked me the last year or so.  I never in a million years would have thought they would do a Luigi's Mansion sequel, go back to old school Zelda, or actually deviate from the normal formula a little bit in terms of Pokemon X & Y.   I know alot of people were disappointed by the DK TP reveal, but I was and am still thrilled.   DKCR is my favorite Wii game, and the only other platformer that is on its level is Rayman Legends.  

I too was very pleased with Tropical Freeze's announcement, as I adored DKCR.

Oh its great!  I put in over 100 hours within the first 7 days of release.  I havent done anything like that since I was prob a freshman in high school. So about 8 years.  

The online features really made it the best pokemon game ive played sinc Silver/gold in my opinion

I would normally call BS, but that is one detailed report.  I just read it again, and if its real then this is no doubt a Wii U game.  It mentions playing traditionally on the gamepad, and having a new gameplay perspective on the terminal (TV).  That new gameplay perpective could no doubt be whatever was shown in the Pokken Fighters teaser.    With all the new things they did in Pokemon X & Y along with thinks like the expanded online and Pokemon Bank, the next step would no doubt make a true Wii U / 3DS pokemon crossover.  Pokemon Battle Revolution tried and failed miserably, but the Wii really didnt have the capabilities to pull it off.

Masuda all but confirmed that Pokken Fighters was not a game in development, but a tech demo to show what Pokemon "might" look like in HD. If such a game is now in development, they just started working on it within the past six months.

Sixth Gen just started and GameFreak is going to milk it for another year and a half at LEAST. Third version, possibly remakes of older games. Possibly a new region but CERTAINLY not dramatic changes to the core battle mechanics that have been in place for 20 years.

And I definitely remember X/Y, LBW, WWHD, and more being leaked before their reveal... wait, I don't remember anything like that, because Nintendo keeps the tightest possible lid on all of their projects until they're good and ready to show them.
