Forums - Nintendo - Pokemon Plus and Minus? If its for Wii U, its a game changer.

Thats some pretty cool concept art the guy got a hold of over there.  I was looking at the guys 2013 leaks that he told in late 2012 and he was pretty accurate.  He said 3D platforming Mario would come out holiday on Wii U, new Zelda 3DS, DKCR 3D.  He also said back then that the new Pokemon game would have new forms of Pokemon (mega-evolutions) and that this generation would be pretty small in terms of new Pokemon (true).  The one other thing he said that was also true was that Nintendo was shopping arround for 3rd Party developers to make exclusive games for them and that they had a project going that would get people talking (sounds like Hyrule Warriors to me).  The guy isnt perfect but lets just hope that he is right about this new Pokemon.

I don't buy a single word of this rumor. Not for a second. Leaks from GameFreak? Not months, but years in advance of release? Hahahahaha.

How do we know its years in advance?    We only saw SM3DW, Wind Waker HD, and ALBW a few months in advance.  If that Pokken Fighters video is from this new game then its pretty clear that whatever this is, is far along in development.

Masuda all but confirmed that Pokken Fighters was not a game in development, but a tech demo to show what Pokemon "might" look like in HD. If such a game is now in development, they just started working on it within the past six months.

Sixth Gen just started and GameFreak is going to milk it for another year and a half at LEAST. Third version, possibly remakes of older games. Possibly a new region but CERTAINLY not dramatic changes to the core battle mechanics that have been in place for 20 years.

And I definitely remember X/Y, LBW, WWHD, and more being leaked before their reveal... wait, I don't remember anything like that, because Nintendo keeps the tightest possible lid on all of their projects until they're good and ready to show them.

This guy did accurately describe Mega-Evolutions in November of 2012 and also said that this gen's number of new Pokemon would be pretty small compared to other gens.    Nintendo does keep a tight lid on stuff, but thats pretty amazing that the guy knew about mega-evolutions then.

It's going to happen, and going by Iwata's (9m) and Patcher's (6m) sales forecasts it's going to happen this financial year. If it isn't a Pokemon game for the Wii U it's going to be something that's going to shift consoles.

Pokemon would be the safest bet imo, particularly when you consider the Wii U's NFC functionality. A Pokemon game with cards or figurines to collect, my money would be Nintendo choosing the former over the latter for 2 reasons: 1) They would be cheaper to produce and 2) They would be easier for people to store, meaning people will be able to buy more of the things.

It's going to be a licence to print money, I'm surprised they didn't do it last year tbh.

I honestly want this to be true but I doubt it but if it is done like they say on both WiiU and 3DS it would be cool since you can take your Pokemon with you when you leave or somethin.

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

If they ever did figures like Skylanders then Nintendo would be the top company again for a while.   The Pokemon Rumble figures sold out quick and they were just little $4 figures that went with DLC game.

Other rumors he got wrong at the exact same time:

"Mainline 3DS Pokemon game" (X/Y) "needs roughly two more years before it's released." It was released less than one year after he made that statement.

"The first NFC game for Wii U will be a next gen Battrio game coming out in all regions." No hint of Battrio, a Pokemon arcade game. Instead we got Rumble U.

"Nintendo’s core first party line up for E3 will be [...] a double dose of Kirby with the return of Tilt ‘n Tumble for Wii U and Kirby’s Pop Up Pannick for Nintendo 3DS" (neither of these materialized), "a new HD Yoshi’s Island game" (no), "Donkey Kong Land Returns for Nintendo 3DS" (released before E3 even took place, also calling it DK Land does not indicate that he knew it would be a remake of DKCR), "new Fatal Frame for Wii U" (no hint of this).

He thought the PS4 would launch with a bundled device he called the Omniviewer, "a thin, lite and slick head mounted autosteroptic display that can track the users head and presents a 360 image view with semi transparent AMOLED screens. Adds extra augmented reality information outside of the TV screen." Never heard of it, have you?

He thought the XBO would be "2 to 3 times more powerful than [PS4]." lol.

His comments on Super Smash Bros. are the funniest. "Sakurai really took to heart the complaints about the single player game and the online game. He is solving this by making the single player very deep this time done by the Tales series people and is planning to have a Network Beta of the game for download the day of Nintendo’s E3 show. This way they can beta test online for about one year before they ship the game."

This guy is full of shit. If I was allowed to get 75% of my predictions wrong, I could've guessed there would be a 3D Mario and a 3DS Zelda game for Holiday 2013, too. And I certainly could have guessed that older Pokemon would get new forms this gen. That one was practically free.

Open world console Pokemon game would work just fine. Geesh, some people just need to give it a try. (Ignoring the GCN ones because they aren't the same)

Open world, gamefreak developed, customization, great story.

It's everyone's dream game. Bottom line: It's not happening.

Like I said his predictions for Nintendo have been pretty good.   Kirby 3DS didnt come out at holiday time, but it is scheduled to be released in the next 2 months, so hes not that far off.  he was wrong about Kirby Wii U, but I wouldnt be shocked if it is being worked on, it just didnt get released yet.  In terms of the Pokemon NFC figures, was he really that far off, the 1st NFC game was Pokemon, just not the one he said.  I'm not saying the guy is perfect but hes closer to 75 percent accurate in terms of his Nintendo predictions.  He also predicted the Xbox One to be 2 - 3 times stronger, yet admitted that he  had very little details about what Microsoft was up to.

DING DING DING

It's not shocking. It's no surprise. You can guess it RIGHT NOW. Anyone could've guessed it at any time: there will eventually be a Kirby game on Wii U. All he had to do was say that Kirby Wii U is happening, make up a few vague details, and then when the game is inevitably announced, people like you will cheer that he was essentially right, or close enough to being right.

I've been talking about Kirby 3DS for over a year, where's my medal? The moment the Wii U was revealed to feature NFC tech, people were associating its applications with potential Pokemon titles.

Everything this guy predicts is vague enough to be interpreted too many ways to be taken seriously, totally obvious, or entirely fabricated. Saying he's 75% correct while including things like "3D Mario for Wii U will release next Holiday" (NO SHIT) and counting "Yoshi's Island HD" as correct is doing a disservice to statistics. This guy makes Michael Pachter look like a freaking prophet.

Did you read any of the stuff he said about Smash Bros? He couldn't have been more wrong. This is flat-out proof that he made that part up and passed it off as a "leak." This is not a reliable or trustworthy source.

He didn't give an actual title for most of the projects he named, but reread the ones he did give. Yoshi's Island HD, Kirby Pop Up Panic, DK Land Returns... not one of them matches up with the actual title of the true games. So how confident do you feel in the title "Pokemon Plus and Minus" when he says they are "possibly" final? These names aren't final, they're not even remotely official. He made them up, as he did everything else he said.

He guesses completely obvious stuff while every single *actual* detail he gives is false. And you're playing right into his hand by trying to defend his lies.
