I'll just buy the discs for cheap off ebay and play them on my PS2 and PS3, thanks.

Gotta love options

My problem is how they were intentionally coy about the double subscription BS until AFTER launch. That was intentional, BS and you know it. I am so pissed off right now, its boarding on rage. There's a reason I jumped ship back to Sony from MS, and having MORE paywalls for things that should be free (BC) is not one of them.

Is it confirmed as a double subscription? I mean, I don't see why they wouldn't offer it on a game-by-game basis for Plus subscribers.

both options:

"We are also going to offer gamers choice when it comes to how they want access content on playstation now.  So they'll be able to rent per title for specific games they are interested in and we'll also offer a subscription model that delivers additional value and allows people to explore a range of titles that they otherwise might not have experienced."

i see your point. however, they said you can subscribe if you want, or just buy game by game basis. basically, you will see their subscribtion and the games they offer, if you do not want to pay for it, you dont have to, and you can buy what ever game you want and play it. nothing is forced behind a paywall. the subscribition is just another option, it is not forced.

Good ideas, but if your internet connection is unstable or down for any reason, you will not be able to play the game you just paid for....
Good for those who have big bandwidth, I prefer a digital copy of my games, thank you

Given I can get full HD netflix streaming all around my house, this should work fine for me.

I just don't understand the costs involved for the consumer, but I'm sure Sony don't either. But being a European peasant, we're going to have to wait a little while longer to get a go with this

Ahh, but they didn't use the word "buy". They used the word "rent". Think PS+ games here. If you pay yet ANOTHER subscription, you can probably keep the games. If you don't, you'll probably pay $4.99, and it will only be yours to play for a limited amount of time. You're not "buying" anything.

This whole service should be a part of PS+ and the fact that it isn't is just pure BS. I am not a fanboy, of any company anymore. I know the Sony fanboys are eating this up with a spoon, but the fact is, while it's a really nice feature tech wise....it's a total middle finger as far as cost. No one should put up with this kind of business practice and the fact that people DO, only makes things worse.

i would say lets wait and see. the thing is, this will be on mobiles, tablets and tvs, so it will certainly reach more people and a lot of them wont probably even have a playstation. we dont know the sub model, so it might be like this. make a sub for those who dont even have a playstation and PS+ for a differenct price, probably cheaper than PS+ so the new consumers dont have to be forced to get a PS+ sub that they dont care about. and maybe PS+ subs would get some games with their subscribtion.

get my point? it might be a matter of not trying to force users who dont have a PS+ to get PS+ but offering a more cheaper sub. we have to wait and see how PS+ subs are treated. but i am with you, i DO NOT like the idea of having to pay TWO paywalls. but again, we dont know enough to judge.

So will PS Now work on my Xperia TL in the future? If I even still have it/I have a Vita anyway, just wondering.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

I'm sure you do feel all this stuff should be free. You probably live with your parents and haven't paid a bill in your life and don't bother quoting me and trying to make up a bunch of BS cause this statement alone makes it very clear. You have absolutely no idea how much something like this cost to maintain/setup. I'm amazed Sony was able to get this up and running so quickly and I can't wait to see how it turns out.

The funny thing is you feel like this stuff should be free but at the same time have no problem paying an extra $100 for a system that is much weaker and has multiplat games at half the resolution that is simply unacceptable.  I work in IT me and my coworkers have broken down the specs and the PC gamers at my job absoulutely laugh at the X1 specs. They say the PS4 is much better but still way behind but at least respectable.
