With Sony you mean the company that dropped online for GT5 just recently? Xbox LIVE for original Xbox for example was discontinued by MS in April 15, 2010...

The way I understood it is that eventually it'll be availabe to lots of devices.

You'll be able to stream from a Sony device to other devices. Got a Samsung Galaxy Tab? Stream PS games to it from your PS3. Try to get onto PS Now directly from your Galaxy tab, sorry no can do.

I wonder if streaming to Surface tablets will be possible, or if the mobile OS has to be Android.

Now the PS3 has sold over 80million its no longer that exclusive.

 

Now on the other hand,  the PS4 is exclusive. I just got mine..

This is future proof plan so we can play these classics again without hardware in future when we have PS5 etc., You don't get same experience from Playstation now service like you got in PS3 hardware for another 5 years  and you had this exclusive and experienced first before others in real hardware.



GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

Well... if you can have PS4 games on Xbone why not PS3 on surface? Well that depends on MS still making and supporting them.
