You can add me to the list. Purchased Splinter Cell Blacklist the other day so there is my 3rd party game for the month.

I think its more important to buy Nintendo games first though. If games like Pikmin 3, wind waker hd, and wonderful 101 don't sell over 1 million, how the hell you think 3rd party publishers feel about releasing content to the system?

just go buy a big pile of games and have at it :)

You got it wrong, third party developers only care about 3rd party sales, if they see that Nintendo games are purchased, but 3rd are not, they will left the console, as is not profitable for them. There are some good 3rd party efforts out there already, some worth full price, some not so much, but you can always take advantage of discounts.

exactly, 3rd party devs are dreamings about the day they see one of their games outself a Nintendo game. The day that happens is when we may see more 3rd party devs jump onboard.

I htink the perfect game we should all get behind is Watch Dogs, assuming the reviews are good and not like a 5/10 game. A new IP released as multiplat that sells well will demonstrate that if they release it we will buy it. And not when next gen comes around they release a port of the 3rd game in the series expecting it to suddenly have an audience.

Of course they dream of outselling Nintendo, but the historical precedent is that Nintendo's games are always the top sellers on the system.

I'll likely get Watch Dogs eventually, but I'd be surprised (although pleasantly) if it outsells Wind Waker and Pikmin 3.

Here's to hoping the WiiU has a better year :)

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

If we're still counting 1st party also, I just purchased Wii Party U yesterday.

Yes, we are... the idea is to give priority to 3rd party games, but any game purchase counts.

No way I can do 1 game per month, but if all things go well then I could be getting like 9 games this year. Once I get my Wii U, I'll probably get Mario Kart 8, Pikmin 3, and Sonic Lost World to start off with. From there, I'll likely be getting Mario 3D World, X, Hyrule Warriors, Wonderful 101, SSB4, and possibly SMTxFE (I needa actually see this game first lol) at some point. Now that I've written all these games out, I realize there's no way I'll be getting all of them by years end, but as long as I get them eventually is what matters! ^_^

Buying the Wii U is enough of a blind leap. Buying some of the Wii U's sketchy/mediocre games is worse... I think I'll stick with Super Mario 3D World and NintendoLand (because it came with my Wii U) for now. I'll buy Pikmin 3 sometime as well.

However, Nintendo has got me locked on Mario Kart 8. When the pre-orders are up for that, I'll be all over it like stink on poop. You betch'a!

You can preorder it now at Best Buy and Gamestop.

BTW my next 3rd party purchase will be Rayman Legends. I'd hate to see the headline "Rayman Legends on PS4, Xbox One outsells Wii U version". Let's make sure that doesn't happen launch week of the PS4/Xbox One versions

Well, after reading this, I bought a game I wanted since it got released: Need For Speed Most Wanted U. Next, I think I'll buy Batman Arkham Origins, after I play Arkham City Armored Edition.

Here are some tips, so you can save some money...

Third party games go down in price, so wait a little bit to get Sonic Lost Worlds.

Wonderful 101 is at 30 U$, but I don't know if it is a temporary drop or they are getting rid of the extra inventory, in which case the game could become a collective item and raise again.

Remove Hyrule Warriors from your list, is likely not a great game and it can wait, and add some third party support like Rayman Legends, that should be cheap by the time you get your console.

Nice to see the updates in the OP.

Although I am not technically committing to this pact since I pretty much bought all the 3rd party games last year lol, I will come in and comment every now and then.

Got Mario and Sonic at the olympics and Nano Assault.
