the assumption is for life time sales in the US, not just december sales. so it goes in line with VGC numbers.

With Supply completely sorted by Titanfall release. I wouldnt be surprised to see Xbox One regularly outsell PS4 in US by over 120,000/week. ESPECIALLY after the glowing reviews the game gets. And the Xbox One version being loads better.

I was banned at the time of this thread... so I didn't read it at all.

But yes... seems really weird to me if NPD show PS4 winning by 50k and VGC shows Xbone winning by 100k in December but I'm just guessing the numbers right now.

Edit - Read your post in the thread now and while I agree with most of it the percent part I disagree... for example %5 error of 100k (5k) is really a great job but %5 of 10m isn't (500k)... so for me a error less than 50k is acceptable but over 100k not... it is a big error and needs to be fixed asap.

Id imagine the thread was breaking Rule 10.

Could probably add the part about spending a lot of time making hit and run, negative posts about a specific platform too.

A Mario being outsold by Farming Sim thread serves no good purpose. Its pointless. Its exremely pointless when its coming from the leaderz of teh ps nationz who makes a lot of negative Wii U posts and/or threads.

I think the Pezus question is more about the reason behind the lock... I mean the mod saying why the thread is being locked is a nice thing and can be a new aprrouch here.

Most forums I read if you look at the last post you have the reason behind the lock... I think it is a good relationship between users and moderators... even more when some threads locks are not that simple to understand.

I think the main problem with VGC numbers is that you provide very precise numbers, for instance PS4 appears to have sold 429,446 units. This makes people put too much emphasis on small differences and gives the impression of perfect accuracy. Perhaps you should start presenting data as margins (say, 390,000-470,000) or round them all to the nearest 10,000  (430,000) so it doesn't give the impression that the numbers are 100% accurate.

You could still add these precise numbers (429,446) to the totals, etc. so that people can figure them out if they want, but at least I think looking at the main page numbers would have a psychological effect where people realise more easily that these are estimates and not 100% accurate 100% of the time.
