Same Im a youngster born in 92 so I played Fusion and Zero Mission before I ever played Super and to me those games were far superior.

i really wish they made a Super Metroid Advance with the Zero Mission or Fusion engine :/

I think it was mostly just revolutionary at the time, and has aged a bit. The 2D titles since then have been phenomenal, and sort of left it behind. I remember feeling slightly underwhelmed when I played it; I certainly enjoyed it, but it had a few flaws and was a little plain in ways. Best damn soundtrack next to OoT, though.

Maybe that's it. I never thought of it that way (being an older game with older gameplay etc.). I just don't know why I can still play the first Zelda and other games and still enjoy them and I can't get into ALTTP. *shrugs*

It really bugs me because I feel I HAVE to beat it. It's like never seeing the Wizard Of Oz or The Godfather. I feel it's kind of mandatory to beat ALTTP.

You got the GBA version? 'Nuff said....

The GBA version of LttP pisses me off so much, since it was the time that Nintendo were deciding to add non-necessary sounds/noises to ports of already perfect games.

Screw the Link voice in that game.....
