The two games I've enjoyed the most have been Rayman Legends and Lego City Undercover. The two I've spent the most time on though are COD BLOPS2 and ACIII. Really it's all about what you like. Some year old games like ACIII, BLOPS 2, Madden 13, ZombiU etc are for sale for $15, so you may get more bang for your buck if you choose older games.

Pikmin 3 and M3DW

Zombi U is about $20 brand new these days and for a new Wii U gamer it's a great tile to see the implementation of the touch screen in a game. Damn good fright too!
Then with that I'd get either Rayman or Mario 3D for some platforming gold....

Pikmin 3 would be by far and away my biggest recommendation. Assuming you haven't played then, Wind Waker HD and Super Metroid from the eShop are also excellent choices.

If you have played both of those, however, then I'd go with Wonderful 101 for the second. It's a bit of an oddity in the gaming world today, but I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Like others said, 3D World is a great game. Personally I would want another 120 star Mario with bigger worlds, but honestly you can't go wrong with 3D World.

I also recommend Rayman Legends, that's an amazing game. And it's pretty cheap already.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze releases next month, that's a must have too.


This was all platformer games, if you'd like something else, try ZombiU, great atmosphere and exciting areas. Or Pikmin 3 if you want a real-time strategy with lots of Pikmin.

Just two eh? Well, I'd say get The Wonderful 101, because it's pretty good, it's a new Nintendo IP, and based on the way it's selling right now, I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes like Xenoblade Chronicles and ends up being super rare and expensive in the future. I'd also recommend Pikmin 3 because I have a feeling as a less popular Nintendo IP it won't be as easy to find as some other ones.

(Particulary) if you haven't played it before WW HD is also a fantastic option.

There is also some truth to what Cobretti 2 said, so if you think it might be your thing, Deus Ex is deserving of the attention.

3D World and ZombiU. Lego City eventually... Buy the NSMBU Wii u.
