Forums - Nintendo - If I buy a Wii U: Which games should I buy?

For me? Pikmin 3 and Super Mario 3D World are fantastic.

For the"mature" gamer, I'd say wait for this year's other big games.

For the best value, try and find the Zelda bundle and pick up 3D World and Pikmin 3.

I never really sat down and played a Zelda before. I mean, I tried it for like 15 minutes before but besides that I haven't. I think I actually have the GC version because of a friend so not sure if the remake is worth it? (compared to NSMBU) (although, do I want that much Mario?)

Right now?

I don't mind being non mature. I don't care what other people think of me.

Probably in a week maybe.

The HD version is much better than the GC version I'll say that much.  Gameplay wise and visually. If you haven't played a Zelda title before, it's actually the perfect introduction to the franchise. It was the one I grew up with, and as a kid it didn't give me much trouble.

the NFS MW U port is very good, youll love it if you like arcade racers..... so is The Wonderful 101, probably the most underrated game on WiiU catalogue

I got the NSMBU bundle, which I believe is the best bang for the buck (You get Super Mario Bros. U and Super Luigi U). I'd highly recommend that bundle. The two games I'd recommend getting with that is Windwaker HD and Super Mario 3D World.

I was going to go for the Zelda bundle, but I wanted to own a physical copy of that game.

Yeah, it really is.  Having your map readily displayed at all times is very helpful and being able to select items in real time while Link is sailing is incredibly convenient.  I love applying items to the buttons with just quick finger swipes.  The gamepad is really beneficial for games like this.

OT:  My advice would be to get the WWHD bundle and buy Mario 3D World and Pikmin 3.  Great variety with three excellent games.

I like action adventure games and platformers. Sonic Lost World Is a very hardcore platformer much more challenging than 3D world. The best action adventure game is Darksiders II. Dark comic art style with open world and better moves than even the best Zelda. Makes good use of the touch screen.
