In order to reach their 9 million projections or even get close, Nintendo need will need creative thinking. At the very best.

I think they are going to make the following (basic) bundle in Januari / Februari :

*Wii U basic 8 GB bundle

*5 Wii sports Club sports preinstalled.

*A 48 hour trail for all sports after which the buyer can buy two sports of 10 each - A 20$ gift card essentially

*A Wiimote +

 And this for 250$

*NOTE_1*: This would also involve snapping the Wii neck completely at the launch of this new bundle. An obvious consequence of the new bundle.

*NOTE_2*: The succes of this bundle will off course depend on their marketing skill to set it apart from the Wii. We have seen small signs of that yet.

I actually think this is a great idea as a new SKU.

That's a good idea. They just need to release Wii Sports boxing and baseball now.

It's also a cheap one. Two sports from Wii sports club would cost them little.

A good idea, but it's aimed towards casuals, and those are long gone.

Many casual gamers who bought the Wii will not buy the Wii u, the hype Wiimote + wii sport is over.

I think this is a great idea. However I doubt it would have enough impact for Nintendo to reach 9 million systems by the end of this fiscal year. The market just isn't strong enough in Q1 to carry WiiU that far. At its absolute best, Nintendo might achieve 7 million systems sold by March 31, but a more realistic figure is 6-6,5 million even with the package you mention.

That's not a bad bundle, but it won't help Nintendo even come close to selling 4m in the next 3 months.
