September update, + a new feature : I will list releases of the past month. Here's August, then :

Vita totally dominated in number of releases. There were almost 5 times more Playsation titles than Nintendo titles

No games. No wonder 3DS isn't selling... oh wait. XD

Sad that there is someone so desperate to actually try and compare the two handhelds. The Vita can't be savex. It's dead. The Vita worldwide sales are less than one region for the 3ds. Please just stop. It has such amazing support in japan, as you claim, but still sells like crap. The 3ds has sold millions, and is still smashing the vita. Get over it already, no amount t of spin can change the ass kicking get the Vita got.

Do you say the same to people making lists about Wii U games?

So, in the end, what's more important? Users being proud that their handheld of choice is outselling their competitor. Or, the user getting the maximum enjoyment out of playing games? Not saying that the 3ds doesn't have games, quite the contrary. Just saying that the majority of vita owners are perfectly happy with the games coming out on the handheld. Owning both is still the best though.

The Vita will be a proof of concept, of whether a console can survive with only support from its niche audience. The indication of its success will be determined through its length in the market. And whether sony releases a succesor.

I'm looking forward to games on both, but man does Vita have some awesome stuff coming out.

Yes i do. But the difference is, nobody is making lists comparing wiiu to the console leader. This is someone trying to actually make it as if the vita to the handheld leader. The wiiu is basically done, but, like the vita, will still have a few good games. But, unlike the vita, the wiiu actually has first party support. So, the wiiu will have some huge first party titles, while the vita will get some obscure third party niche titles. I've come to terms with the wiiu's position, it's about time you vita fans do the same. And I have a vita, btw. That's thing doesn't have shit for a library. Sorry.

So many games I need to get for Vita from this year. If only I had the money for all of them. Soul Sacrifice Delta, Sword Art Online, Freedom Wars, Oreshika/Over My Dead Body 2.

But was it ever strong outside Japan? other than on PSP, US/EU developers always rarely made handheld titles until the smartphone boom. I cannot think of too many Western GBA games. It has always been a Japanese dominated field and fans of that are the ones that flock to it.
