Previous gens brought a lot, motion control (and the new gameplay styles that came with it), improved online (which I really don't see in the PS4/XB1), touch screen and casual and mobile gaming and stuff (not hardcore, but still innovation). The 7th gen brought a lot of new things. Right now, the 8th gen just looks like smoothing out, and optimization of 7th gen concepts.

Secondly, Nintendo didn't abandon "waggle" Sony did, and the new Kinect is very innovative. Also, there are 3 true gaming machines.

Exactly what game shows the new Kinect innovativenes ????

I own all three, and only PS4 comes of as a pure gaming machine.  Bone is clearly not a dedicated gaming machine and WiiU does not kow whats its doing.  Pad is pointless to me right now, i have the consoe yet have no use for its controller.

And where is sas you say not abandoned waggle on the U ? casue my U came with a tablet controller and no waggle at all.  As an owner i cant say i see anything "motion" controls about this console.

Doesnt the PS4 controller have a touch screen?

Pocky Lover Boy!

Only excessive DLC and Micro Transactions can make this gen worse than the last.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

You haven't noticed the Wii-U's motion control options or the uses of the gamepad. What games exactly have you played?

Double Post Deleted. For some reason it didn't move me off the posting page and I ended up doing multiple submissions.

This guy speaks the truth, I brought my Ps4 for KZ.

I think every generation has been worse than the previous. At the time they're fun but when I look back at the end of each generation I find that the generation before was better,

I'm personally looking forward to larger open worlds with bigger and more bustling populations and activities made possible with the increase in RAM this generation. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is probably going to be one of the earlier examples to showcase the difference between the last generation and this one.

I like the 8th generation because the 3 consoles, all of them are not even half as powerful as X360 and PS3 where in they're day so now the developers can stop caring about the fuckin* graphics and just do what i want. Games with nice stories and good gameplay.

Also is pretty nice that Wii U and Xbox One (console that i own) bet for new kind of ways to play and innovate while Sony as always plays it safe and does the same as in the generations before

That goes into the developer. I know tons of seventh generation games which has less open worlds with less activities than Shenmue, a Dreamcast game.

Of course, simply because not every developer is going to be putting emphasis on creating more open and active worlds, but for the ones attempting to push the barrier, I think there is going to be a significant difference.  With that said, much respect to Yu Suzuki for making some of the most exceptional games of their time.

Kinect is the definitive motion controller right now, like somebody else said, how can you say it's NOT innovative? Kinect just needs a key game, the same can be said about the Wii U controller.

The Wii U is more focused on the controller, but the controller contributes to what? Definitely not media. How is the Wii U not a dedicated gaming machine? It's more dedicated than the other two, and like I said, it needs a showpiece game.

Nintendo didn't abandon motion on the Wii U. NintendoLand, Pikmin 3, SM3DW, and other 1st party games use the Wiimote to some extent.
