Forums - Nintendo - Iwata predict: what will take to make that estimations

So, we all know: WiiU will not hit its sales. But, if iwata was rigth about that, what would take to make that?

So i made a graph. About how well wiiu should sell each week to be consistent with last year. So, i take the market share and the nº of units at each week. I made some asumptions, like the fact that wiiu probably sold 1 million till novembers end(c'mom, let give it). So, comparing the data, i made this chart

The blue is what nitnendo sold in 2012. And the Orange is what nitnendo need to sold to sell their target. So far, by the reliable media create for japan sales, Nitendo  sold 238K in the last 3 week. They needed to sell 2195K. Unless Nintendo released wiiu on china trough holiday were it amnaged to sell 2 million, they are pretty far from where they should be.

They probably will adjust the thing one that npd is out, so i will. There is more graph to show, but i want to sleep now. Have fun with the numbers.

all data is here:

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

I don't see the WiiU becoming any sort of success in China. Video games are still an unproved medium over there.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

It would take about 4 million more sales, nuff said.

I think Nintendo can do it if and only if they market their games correctly. Smash Bros. and Mario Kart have a fan base more than capable of pushing out a mere 4 million consoles. Let's just see if they show up.

Yeah, if you have to pay for the games, it won't do well in China.
