as you can see, i am predicting that this gen two New IPs will dethron the FPS kings of this gen. so im calling it now, by the end of the gen, or the middle of it (depending on how the gen goes) Destiny and TitanFall will be the kings of the generation when it comes to sales. i see it like this Destiny > Titanfall > battlefield> CoD. maybe titanfall can outsell destiny, but i currently see the destiny winning by a small margin. but my prediction is about these two new ips outselling the two dominant ips of this gen. 

TitanFall 3 > CoD of that year. 

i also predict that GTA will remain the king of consoles, i know, not a big or risky prediction at all :P

I think Battlefield will do just fine this gen but COD will definitely die a slow death. Titanfall and Destiny will probably be the two best selling FPSs this gen so I agree with you. One FPS that I'm excited for that nobody is talking about is Homefront 2.

Battlefield 4 killed Battlefield more than any other game can.

Don't be surprised, new generation, new games.

N64 era it was Goldeneye, Turok, and Perfect Dark which were the console FPS kings
PS2/Xbox/GC era it was Medal of Honor and Halo that were console FPS kings
Xbox 360/PS3 era it was Call of Duty and Battlefield that were console FPS kings, with Halo also being relevant

Prediction: people will continue the tradition of making foregone conclusions about unreleased games and consoles in the 8th gen.

I'm looking forward to both Destiny and Titanfall, but my gut tells me that they may not draw all of the people who like Call of Duty, particularly the fans drawn to the more modern setting of the past few games.
