I don't see how you can be so sure about that, looking at the situation that is presenting itself before us at the moment.

Yep, the X1 is fast becoming dead in the water so selling it in about 50+ countries would have mean't they would come closer to selling most of their stock instead of having an absolute plethora of stock that seemingly not very many people want.
I don't think they made a mistake. I'm sure they really wanted to release in more countries but they're still trying to secure deals with the local entertainment industry to deliver content to all countries they are releasing in.
If there was a mistake then it would probably be the media focus but only time will tell.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

maybe that is an overstatement. there is demand for the xbox one, its just not as strong as we thought it was or enough to cause sell outs.

Just wait until January...I think we'll see it go the way of the Wii U (but slightly better overall sales-wise).
I actually think it was a smart move for their position, sure they could have sold their entire stock worldwide but they have focused on market share in their most important market instead... though I'm sure they would have liked to have sold more but even then they have sold record numbers compared to the 360

yeah i agree, i was going to say that. we should wait until Dec NPD and jan sales too see how demand has been going and how it will continue. also, if it goes the way of the WiiU i can imagine the situation being a bit more dire due to 500$ price tag, though it will get third party support, unlike the WiiU.

This but they are losing in America... so people will guess they did a mistake... I don't have a clear opinion yet. To be fair it is more about Sony doing everything right than MS making mistakes... if the PS3 launched together with 360 you should be the same situation... 1 year early was the best strategy MS ever did in the console business. |
disagree.
MS made the biggest mistakes off all. a terrible reveal event. a terrible decision to sell at $500 in order to bundle kinect which most consumers value at $0.
sony might have "won" regardless but it's MS that will make it a significant win instead of a testicular pie.

I don't have a "Are you serious?" gif so I'll just say it....Are you serious?? They might not do that great overseas but in the states X1 will do very well.
