For me, it is between the SNES, N64, and Wii. I guess I will give the edge to the Wii because of the Virtual Console.

So if you guys could only own 1 Nintendo console, but could play any games at all available on that one console, you would mostly go with the SNES?

That's cute. I'll stick with my Wii, which can play most of the best NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, and Sega Genesis games, to name a few.

If you judge the platforms purely by their library, the Wii wins hands-down. If you judge them purely by their specs, the Wii takes second to the Wii U. And thanks to Wii mode, the Wii U probably takes second to the Wii in terms of library -- you are basically sacrificing the ability to play GameCube games for the ability to play Wii U games, and that tradeoff doesn't work in the Wii U's favor yet, though with half the GameCube's best games available as remakes for either the Wii or Wii U (Pikmin 1 & 2, Wind Waker, Metroid Prime Trilogy, etc), it's already close.

For me it's the N64 and the Wii. I haven't played many Snes games or Gamecube games.

If I could only own one Nintendo console, I'd take a Wii U.

- massive virtual console in Wii mode

- GameCube games like Metroid Prime 1&2, Pikmin 1&2 and Resident Evil 0, 1 & 4 are playable in Wii mode. Wind Waker is on Wii U

- I prefer The Wonderful 101 over Viewtiful Joe and 3D World over Sunshine

- I don't want to miss Pikmin 3 and Rayman Legends

- SSB4 could be better than Melee and MK8 than DD

N64 for me. Super Mario 64, best Mario Kart, Star Fox, Rogue Squadron, the two best Zelda games, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Turok, Banjo Kazooie, Wave Race 64. Head and shoulders above the other Nintendo consoles and my second favorite console of all time.

For me the NES closely followed by n64.

As good as the SNES was, PAL region missed out a lot of the great NTSC games that made the SNES a standout winner.
