It's just a shorthand version of the name. No different than PS4. Why do you have problems with people who say it?

Where are people having a problem with this still? I haven't seen people bitching about it in the MS forums since shortly after the name was revealed. I use Xbone, XB1 and the One pretty equally.

No it is not, it emerged as a way of ridiculing XBox one after all the initial mishaps and followed closely with the "XBox180". It is a clever joke but I never take anyone serious when they use that term.

Because it looks like X-Bone and they don't like the way that sounds.. :)

I can understand disliking XBox180 since the additional "180" part is only there to mock. XBox-180, XBOX:180, and Xbox 180 are all just the same. However with XBONE, do you have a problem with XB-One, XB:One, or XB One?

It's not the name that bothers me, it's the ppl using the term. The things they focus their attention on (intention), making others miserable, is saddening.

For the same reason some people don't like crApple or Shamsung or the use of PoS3 at the start of last gen > thin skin and the need to stand up for their emotional and financial investment.

Because people take it as your saying you are BONED (screwed) if you buy the system.
