Forums - Nintendo - I think Walmart is the main reason for Wii U selling the way it is in the U.S

It seems to me that the Mario and Zelda bundles are what is helping the system get back on its feet. I see the old Nintendo land bundles everywhere but the Mario bundles seem to go fast and the Zelda bundles are pretty much all sold out now. $300 for a new console is an ok price but $300 for a console with $70 of Mario content is a really good deal. If Nintendo is smart they do Mario Kart and Smash Bros bundles when they come out. The whole bundle strategy has worked for Nintendo since the NES days (Duck Hunt / SMB FTW).

This is probably the more likley scenario, lol. Wal-Mart staff are lazy as sh*t.

and the other two I check said it was sold out.....

I saw only 3 Mario bundles left last night at Wal Mart. And they sold out of the Nintendoland bundle (it was priced at $250 probably to get rid of it). There was one Wii Mini. Oh, and there were five XBox Ones just sitting there, but PS4 was sold out.
