I think Walmart is the main reason for Wii U selling the way it is in the U.S

I saw only 3 Mario bundles left last night at Wal Mart. And they sold out of the Nintendoland bundle (it was priced at $250 probably to get rid of it). There was one Wii Mini. Oh, and there were five XBox Ones just sitting there, but PS4 was sold out.
