Noone cares anymore. The games are out and the OS are being used.

So far

Xbox One has the best graphics at launch and is the only console that can do true multitasking and snapping.

So far.

You mean because of those 2 games?

Good point. If we don't care about framerate, I guess Fortza 5s photo mode should win all. Or maybe GT6 and then the whole new gen is shit compared to the previous one.

OT: I presume this could have something to do with the memory system of the two machines, and then the CPU is not faster?

There is framerate drops very occasionally in Ryse. But its next to never noticeable. What is noticeable though is the much lower res textures, effects, less enemies onscreen, low model characters and poor animations on Killzone in comparison to Ryse. But hey its opinion.

And lol that many still ignore the fact that deves have said the lower r COD etc is due to Xbox SDK being behind PS4 not due to hardware.

Agendas.

Agenda or weakness?

CoD will never run on Xbone with the same config/performance than PS4... you can be sure about that.

Multiplatforms will be better on PS4 and the exclusive way better.

Xbone is limited in GPU compared to PS4... nothing can change that... no magical SDK can make a weak GPU runs faster than a strong GPU when the CPU are exactly the same.

You can tell you but won't make it true.

Kilzone have better graphics and run/performance better... there is no bull here... PS4 do multitasking too and better than Xbone ... snnaping is the only think not found in PS4 but from what I used it is useless.

After playing Ryse.

Killzone has much lower res textures. Lower modeled characters. Bad animations. Less effects. and Less enemies onscreen. More than 1 scene on Ryse has around 100. Actually I think theres 5 scenes in Ryse like this. Alot of the time Killzone looks pretty bland. The city scape looking the best part. But even then the close up stuff is blurry in comparison to Ryse. A real downer after playing Ryse at leat in visual fedility.

But hey we will never agree.

PS4 multitasking takes longer to go to other programs open. Well I suppose Kinect makes it faster also. As you can say what you wan instead of using menus. And snapping is awesome. It had initial issues, but the update has made it smooth as butter.

I'm telling you both to stop derailing threads with your pointless "Mine is bigger than Yours" (non-)arguments...

There are 2 possibilities about this 12 vs 14 surprising result:

The test is single-threaded and uses only one core.

How do you know? There is absolutely nothing in the link that tells us what they are actually doing.

"Generating textures" can be anything. If they are also shoveling textures around from cpu memory to gpu memory, then it is easy to see why PS4 slightly> XBox One and I7 mildly > PS4/XBox One (pure processor power should be I7 >> PS4/XBox One).

All signs still point to PS4 1.6GHz and XBox One 1.75GHz at this time, and this weird graph says nothing at all about clock rates. And please Selnor, do not derail every thread with your "XBox One games are better than PS4 games" mantra.

It is an only CPU algorithm test about textures compression/decompression, that much we are sure of. It is specified in the article and they even compare with an I7 and tablets/iphone.

And the very low outputs: 12MB/S and 14MB/S (mega-bytes not giga-bytes!) really show it is not a bandwidth contest but pure CPU algorithm test.

What would be the point of comparing hardware internal memory bandwidth of tablets, iphone, PC and next gen console in order to show how great their compression algorithm is?

PS4 exclusive way better?

Let me know when this happens.

As in 2014 nothing on PS4 exclusively looks better than Quantum Break. Im sure Halo 5 from 343i will add to that as well. So far Microsofts talk about taking processes away from GPU via other little processors seems to hold wieght. Stuff PS4 cant do. Until Sony prove they have better graphics, then we can talk. But so far its all numbers and hot air.

Again COD devs already confirmed the Xbox One development was hampered by worse SDK than PS4. In fact Ubisoft said the latest SDK from Microsoft made using the EDRAM far better and much easy to attain tiling with much better effects.

Ryse have the worst animation I ever see in a game... it is terrible... the graphics outside the pre-rendered cutscenenes are way below what they showed in trailers... Killzone is Open World and have a lot of things happening in the scene that you have no ideia... there are parts you can see counting enemies, allies, drones and others AI controlled with way more things than Ryse... and there are more effects in the screen too.

PS4 multitasking is instantaneos... no slowdown... no time waiting... you switching between game and the app pretty fast... Xbone I didn't have the same smoothness than PS4 switching between games and apps... snapping have issues too while playing games.

I have access to both consoles in my home... did you ever played a PS4?

2013 already happen... and there are no axuliar processor for graphics in Xbone... please stop because you cleary didn't even understand what MS said.

In fact the only console to have real CPU for background tasks is PS4 with reserved memory too... an ARM + 256MB DDR3.

Most resources used by Shape in Xbone are Kinect related... more the Kinect uses a lot of CPU and GPU too.

The eSRAM will never be better than a single pool of 8GB fast RAM... you use it to make something better but it will limit you in others things... 1080p will be exception in Xbone due eSRAM.

Um you need to read the title of the thread.

What the hell do you think the thread is gonna be about?

Sorry, it has the best animations Ive ever seen in a game. Sure theirs the odd glitch. Same with Uncharted and TLOU where often in climbing etc the hands are mid air and the knees dont even touvh the ground on pulling himself up.

Disagree. Killzone didnt impress me. Actually I was more impressed with BF4 on the whole. Especially in effects department.

The graphics are exactly the same in 80% of the cutscenes in Ryse to gameplay.

Theres only 8 cutscenes in Ryse that change to an uber awesome Higher fidelity added processing scene. Thses scenes are when Marius is talking to Ceaser in the locked chamber.

All other cutscenes are using full ingame visuals. We know and its obvious because regularly you gain and take control of the character straight away. No fading, no camera change, no black out et etc. In Ryse often you watch a 5-10 minute cutscene and the camera slides around and all of a sudden you have control. Its breathtaking. Unseen level of fidelity on consoles. Take the Dover level. Where all hell breaks lose when the boats get ripped apart. ALL FULLY ingame. The scene with OSWALD and COMMODUS? All in game. I know its hard to take but it looks so amazing. They built the game engine so things can be scaled in realtime like facial animations depending on how close the camera is. Incredibly clever.

There is nothing on xb1 that looks and is technically as good as infamous 2nd son. The physics, particle effects, open world game play, lighting all look unrivaled and destroys anything coming on xb1. Add to the fact that it's a near launch title, I don't think xb1 can catch up ever.
