Yoshida is a nice guy. Like I said before I think Nintendo and Sony could work together in the future, and really I think it would be for the good of the industry too.

spot on.
it boggles muy mind how people believe WiiU is GC2 in terms of market performance. and no even if its doing poorly its not a GC.
this is not 2001 where sales were frontloaded.
Nintendo is not the same NIntendo. Iwata understands SW market way much better and Nintendo is in financial better position.

I would argue the majority of gaming fans are blissfully unaware of sales and shipment figures and just enjoy their games.

I wouldn't call those people serious gaming fans.

So it's the "gamers" who are at fault and not Nintendo's marketing for the last year?  Got it!   It's that exact way of thinking that's got Nintendo in the shape they are in with the Wii U.
