Forums - Nintendo - Predict 3 Surprises We Will See In Tomorrow Nintendo Direct! (Not The Obvious Ex: MK8/DK/Kirby/BD)

1) SMTxFire Emblem information, release date end of Spring
2) Mario Kart date
3) Smash Bros date end of spring*

*all of their rumour squashing has amounted to 'we've not specified a date yet', I reckon Germany may have let slip when i's due. I'm probably wrong and I'm not getting hyped, but I have a suspicion that it's closer than we think.

Another fun game to play is Date or Delay; we name a game and say whether it's getting a release date, or if it's being delayed eg.

Mario Kart: date
Yarn Yoshi: delay
Donkey Kong: date (easy one)

and so on...

Hum... i don't expect any surprises. We're talking about Nintendo. Don't expect a surprise every Direct. Best way not to be disappointed.

What I think will be announced:
1) Year of Yoshi announced with new trailers/release windows for Yarn Yoshi and Yoshi's New Island.
2) New smash character announced. Probably Yoshi but I'd like to see someone new.
3) Software to pad out the early part of the year. Luigi's Mansion HD and Wii Sports HD retail release scheduled for around April/May.

What I'd like to see announced:
1) 3rd exclusive Sonic shown. Possibly a handheld dedicated entry (haven't had one for a while now).
2) Year of Metroid. New 3DS and Wii U entries announced with trailers (even just a teaser would be enough for me).
3) Bayonetta 2 release date for early in the year along with a new gameplay trailer.
4) Another partnership with Sega announced to bring back a beloved IP (Jet Set Radio, Skies of Arcadia, Crazy Taxi, Shenmue, Ristar, I could keep going and going).

1.- A unified account so all your virtual console games appear in both the wiiu and the 3ds available to download and if you have the game on both consoles they refund you the price of one
2.- "X" revealed with its proper name and an estimate release date next year
3.- Pokenn Fighters announced for WiiU and they have every last form of a fighting pokemon alongside pikachu

Every Major Direct always has a new game revealed, i think alot of people dont recognize this. Every Direct mostly is called a Nintendo Direct but really you can separate them. This direct will be on par with January from last year.

What makes you think this one is a Major one? Am I missing something?

If it IS a major one, then I expect Reggie's Metroid pin to have been a hint, and a new Metroid for Wii U will be announced later today.

One can always dream, right? The Nintendomination self proclaimed master, JohnLucas, is a testament to that! xD

I don't expect much (I never do), since I think that the "big" one will be the one in January, just like this year.
We'll probably see some trailers for announced games and we'll be given release dates. On my wishlist would be:

A gameplay trailer for SMT x FE
A new Wii U game
A new 3DS game

I won't be disappointed if those things aren't shown, though, because, again, the big one will probably be in January.

Add me if you like!

Ask me about 3DS Friend Code if interested. All other things are in the profile!

I don't think this will be the equivalent of last years January Direct. I think this will cover up to end of April, and come January (or possibly February) we'll get the megaton direct to hype the latter half of the year.

Its either this direct or Jan/Feb that is the huge one! But i believe its this for a couple reasons.

1. its 30mins long (only 2 others were ever over 30mins and they were January 2013 direct and E3)

2. they specifically said that the games will be shown are releases of 2014 (from Jan-Aug). The other directs never have an 8 month window like this unless it was the big directs mentioned above!

3. Sakarai Head from SSB Development is hyping this up (maybe another epic SSB trailer or/and release date?)

4. They Need to do a Huge Direct since WiiU is in so much trouble in its current state!

5. Right Before Christmas? Nothing is coming out intill next year so why do a direct now if it isnt huge?

Well my reasons anyway especially reasons 1-3 back it up alot

1. Nintendo announces they are going third party on Android and Apple.
2. Nintendo announces the end of the Wii U production.
3. Nintendo announces they are now making games for PC, Sony, and Microsoft.

The END!!!
