Heh, kind of funny to see a Left 4 Dead 2 sale when it was free on PC just yesterday. Anyway, moving on, I just found this slightly amusing.

wasn't it free for 2 weeks for gold a couple months ago ???? I know a left for dead game was on free game for gold but not sue if it was the second one

Well I've made sure to get all the licences for the free gold games even if I owned the disks just to ensure I'd have them on my system and could give the games away.... but I'm almost sure that Left for dead never appeared on it tho.

ALSO, updating the OP with the daily deal for the 28th of Dec. tis trials stuff. If ye havn't at least tried the demo of either HD (the very old game) or Trial Evolution (the 2012 summer of arcade title) then you really should try them.

Been enjoying these deals lately. Bought Bioshock Infinite, UMvC3, and Feeding Frenzy 2. Plan to pick up Brothers and maybe some other stuff. The only game I bought this year prior to these deals was GTA5 so it's nice to finally have some new games to play.

Aye UmvC3 and Bioshock were both pretty awesome, I had just gotten a copy of Infinite not long ago tho and have UMvC3 on the vita so didn't wanna double dip the same game. I tried the demo of Brothers and tried so hard to enjoy it... but jesus it just comes off as the most confusing twin stick game ever to me with so little actual "gameplay" (was actually annoyed that you couldn't close the farm gates after passing them.... maybe that's just an Irish thing lol)

Updated with the daily deals from the 29th tho, a day of Zombies... rather fitting when Celebrating a holiday of someone who came back to life a few times :D

For anyone who is interested btw, Zombie Apocalypse is a 2009 game and Zombie Apocalypse : Never die alone is its 2011 sequel just making a point of it since they're both the same price, metacritic has them both in the mid 60s but yeah getting a 2 year newer game in Never Die Alone.

Too bad I'm horrible at Fighting games or  else I would probably really enjoy it lol. Infinite on the other hand, I'm having a great time with. Getting close to the end. The beginning is kinda slow, but once it picks up that's when the game really shines. As far as Brothers go, I've heard mostly positive things about the game besides the occasionally mention of akward controls. Might have to try the trial first to see if it's my thing.

State of Decay on sale for $10. Might have to get it at that price.

Aye in brothers you control the older one with the left stick and LT makes him interact with stuff and the young bro is controlled with the right stick and RT. Maybe it's just my brain but when the chars on screen swap over which side they're at my head ached :D

I think... just Think btw, that marvel v Capcom 3 on the consoles has a "casual" control mode, I just recall a friend of mine saying he plays it with younger members of his family in that mode so they can all do flashy combos and stuff. I haven't seen it in the Vita version but it could help you get some more out of the game maybe. (last boss in arcade mode is still a tosser tho I bet!) If you did want to get into fighting games tho I would recommend Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade edition which is on sale on Psn now for about a fiver, if you have a ps3 that is. It's just a far slower and easier to get into fighting game in my opinion.

Edit - Gamestops sale here in Ireland has Tekken Tag Tournie 2 for €9.99 if anyone wants casual fun and flashy fighting games :D also seems to be an achievement fest...

Pretty awful deals for the most part. Only thing I got was Bioshock Infinite for $14. Which is now coming to PS+ for free.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Well.... as a rental while you have ps+ tho, you get to keep the 14dollar version forever. (still can't lend it to friends tho but c'est la vie) I know of course if you have a ps3/4 and Vita you get a ton of games so you might as well have Psn+ btw but I still rather own games forever just in case I didn't have time to play them.

That's how I feel.  I actually have PS+ and I only use the discounts.  I haven't downloaded any of the "free" games because I buy a game and play it months later (plus they're friggin HUGE).  Their ability to take the game away just doesn't appeal to me.  Good titles a lot of the time but I feel a need to own.

I'm not gonna get into the PS+ ownership argument since it's kind of topic off but that never bothered me. I was more trying to comment on how most of the deals have been terrible, the only good deal I get still ended up screwing me over since it's coming to PS+ for free.

well dépends what you are looking for.... I prefer discounts on arcade games than AAA games.... for 2 reasons.... first AAA games if they are in my wishlist chances are by the time they get on discount I already have them.... and if I don't I probably don't care enough to buy them DD on 360 when I could find them for cheaper on disc used....

XBLA games on the other hand are not available at retail or used.... and non AAA games of quality are hard to pin point randomly... those sales allow me to try/buy/enjoy a bunch of games I wouldn't have if it weren't for those sales....

I love those sales the way they are and hope they keep that way and just use the free games for gold for AAA games and if possible more recent games....
