Microsoft is able to put out so much more stock than Sony in 'merica. Much respect
I work at Best Buy in Santa Barbara, CA (well, technically Goleta) and we have tons of Xbox Ones. We keep getting shipments. We have like 100 in stock.... Microsoft is just good at shipping them out. We are doing bundles too, like COD: Ghosts + Xbox One for $559.

How about PS4? Do PS4 sell out fast or do you not see much PS4 shipments?
Sony kinda spread themselves out too thin, and as a result, they've missed out on the opportunity to really build an early lead on Xbox in their home territory.

thx
PS4 targeted a much broader market. As discussed (and argued) in several other threads MS narrowed its market release to target those it felt would generate the most purchases due to previous popularity and market penetration.
The following comment is but a personal experience and has no bearing on sales........but:
I have had (2) gaming friends who whole heatedly had chose to buy PS4 in the US. They did not pre-order as I had instructed them to do, knowing PS4's/XBox Ones would be a hot item this holiday.
After playing and trying my XBox One they were very impressed. Because of the availability of the XBox One in the US in comparison to the PS4. They both went out and purchased an XBox One even though they are both die hard gamers and set on the initial decision of a PS4.
I think MS availability of the One vs PS4 is playing a larger part in sales in the US IMO than many will admit.
As previously stated this is based on my personal experience and has no real validity vice this example....😁
I wonder which model will turn out better. Since it looks like Sony and MS have pretty much the same amount of consoles. Sony simply chose to get the biggest amount of different markets, MS to concentrate on smaller number but without stock issues. Going to be interesting.
So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
Greatness Awaits!

We have seen seldom PS4 shipments. I think once since launch. We get asked for it a bit more than the Xbox One. I would say 55% want the PS4, 40% want the Xbox One, and about 5% want a Wii U. In fact, I can go a whole shift without getting asked about the Wii U. I even try to sell it, but people are more interested in the regular Wii.
We got our truck in Saturday and we had about 20 boxes with 2 One's in each = 40 Xbox One's, plus about 10 out on floor... so about 50 or so Xbox Ones. I actually have more people interested in the Xbox 360 than the Xbox One at times, probably due to price and GTA V. Microsoft should have considered making the Xbox One backward compatible because a lot of people who do get the 360 would've got the One if it were.

This is what MS is betting on. Those people that don't want to wait for the PS4 and just go and get the Xbox One and I think there will be plenty of them.
