Also i just loved it when he finally broke down. It was funny and enjoyable when he gunning down people left and right maybe im a psycho :O anyways i enjoyed it maybe because the whole movie felt realistic and that finally breakdown felt so out of place i can understand some people not liking that part.

Okay, I can reply properly to this. I also liked the rampage at the end, it was pretty cool to watch. The thing I didn't like is that there was no mention of it in the news or any talk about at least 1 death that night, assuming it was all blown out of proportion in Patrick's mind. I wished the movie gave us more hooks to make this at all plausible even if to the slightest degree.

Yes, the movie did close off the is it reailty or was it all in Bateman's mind at the end could of been better with a more open approach. Although I dont know if it was cause of bad forethinking or it was intentionally. I think its the latter cause this movie wants you to follow Bateman point of view/ thoughts.

Anyways apart from you not liking the ending it should still stand as a great movie imo

It already is a great movie and has one of my favourite scenes of all time. This movie has a lot of great scenes

Why did you choose the OLD version of this scene???

The director's cut version is WAAAY better.

It is great, and you're high if you think otherwise.

lol, high on coke yeah.

You must've missed the imdb article I posted.

"Great" doesn't mean "perfect in every respect". They made some missteps. It's still a great film.

nothing in the movie was for real...the ending is also one of the most satisfying IMO.

great movie!

Exactly. The whole point is that the main character is nothing but a sham, a living breathing delusion. He's so shallow and superficial that even when he lashes out against the shallow and superficial world he's surrounded himself with, it's nothing but more lies he tells himself so he can feel more important. He's in love with the fantasy of being a slasher, but like the corporate raiders of 80s, he's a psychopath without the fortitude to actually get his own hands dirty.

Few movies can manage even a single scene that stays in my mind forever. This one has two. The business card envy scene and the Huey Lewis scene. Both brilliant, funny, and disturbing.
