Well considering the WIi U didn't have the special edition and the prestige edition with the covert HD camera, most COD geeks went for the other platforms.

Plus we already know the audience left COD on Wii when Modern Warfare launched on the HD twins and skipped Wii. Then when a port come out 2 years later it was too late.

that doesnt really explain why COD on Ninty platforms did worst and worst as time went on, it cant be just cause MW1 was late to the console, becasue at that point it wasnt even the PEAK of COD's popularity, fact is the series was most popular with Blops/MW3 two games that Wii did get and on time. Hell DS got a MW1 game and the series started dropping after that too.

I guess you didnt read my post. No shooter, is better than a bad shooter.

69 metascore and user reviews on Amazon and Best Buy are pretty good for the game.

a lot of arguments going belly up now. THere is no self sabatoge here, yes they didnt annouce it till later, but it wasnt like they did annoucne it the day before the game came out, there was ample time to get some buzz for the WIi U version. Not to mention it was actually CHEAPER than any other version (at least in the US) DLC? Thats a cop out as the PS and PC versions dont get DLC till much later but doesnt stop them from selling gangbusters anyway. If i said it once ill say it again.

Demograph thats the problem, these are not the type of games that would do that great on Ninty consoles, its just the way it is. You cant blame its gimped, it runs just as well if not better than the PS360 versions, with pointer controls that people swear are so important. You cant blame user base Wii had a much higher one than either PS or 360, AND the PS4 and Xone versions did way better despite just coming out.

Yes there is a self-sabotage problem. Anyone who states otherwise is deliberately ignoring the facts to enact their own agenda, full stop

Edit: to clarify, it's obvious that there are going to be demographic differences, but not to this degree and it is highly disingenuous to disregard how half-assed the Nintendo versions of multiplats are. Citing the PS and PC versions as some sort of counterpoint is just muddying the waters because we all know they're going to get the support eventually. With Nintendo versions, it's either a flat no or being strung along indefinitely.

You forgot to add a strong IMO at the end of your rant. Otherwise it sounds that you are spouting your conspiracy theories as facts.

Cod doomed.

To Mr. Khan

es it is, why cant it be to that degree? it is EXACTLY to that degree, sales prove it now moreso than ever. People are really hanging too much on DLC, MAYBE with COD its that important (how much people actually buy the DLC) but that doesnt explain say AC4 poor numbers. So their is a big demographic situation here, to say otherwise simply goes against logic and evidence. (AC4 also did much better on PS4and Xone, Ubi set that one up too?)

PS3 PC "muddys" the waters because it makes your whole theory moot and wrong. Hell it actually bolsters my own point. Say you are right and Sony and PC are gonna get support anyway, wouldnt taht just shift the demograph to those systems? making my original point of demographic differences all the more true.

Cod just doesn't able to the wii crowd. Not as if they've really put forth the effort..ever. I am more surprised by the collapse of just dance which actually...you know advertised and acknowledged the consoles existence, and still decline abruptky over the last year.

nothing surprising at all. Its an annual game thats NOT a sports game it was bound to decline sooner or later. Same with COD. Doesnt matter if what they acknowledge people will get bored

Really? Gamers choosing the games they want is hurting other genres?

FPS rose to the top because a lot of them were engaging, pushed hardware capabilities and promoted onlne social gaming. It innovated game industry in the last 10 years more than any other genre.

Your analysis correlating violence out there and gaming is plainly wrong and asinine.

Humans were always amazed at explosion and gun sounds. That's why action movies sell more than a romance or drama.

But most of us don't wanna partake in a war because we know it's outcome is more than virtual.

Obviously.  Increased development costs lead to much greater risk for individual titles, and more incentive to just play it safe. Appealing to the masses stifles development in less popular genres, and innovation in popular ones.

Have you ever played games from Xbox Live Arcade?

Multiple million sellers for less than $20 on all kinds of genres and very innovative.

Some commercially successful games are:

Trials- sport

Minecraft- open wold

State of Decay- RPG/Open World

Splosion man- Platformer

Iron Brigade- Tower Defense/3rd Person Shooter

Etc,...

I was talking about the AAA titles.

Indie's have a smaller budget and more freedom to develop what they like. I play plenty of Indie games for the large variety of genres and novel experiencs, however they do tend to be less deep than a bigger budget game.

So, aprox. 3% for 8th gen hm...

And where is the PC share? less than Wii U or what?

by the looks of it. it probably accounts for less than 1% of costs too.

Ohh, Zero, since you're here. Weren't you saying that there is no chance of Ghosts selling less than Blops 2, because the userbase will be bigger, when some people, me included told you it may happen since Blops 2 numbers were inflated cause it was a launch title? How's that gone? Were you wrong all along? Again?

ghost should still outsell blops 2, ea fl.
