Back in June:

“Last week, the Amazon Video Games store made history with its biggest pre-order week ever thanks to the launch of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4,” an official statement from the company has confirmed. It added: “In fact, at the peak of demand last week, Amazon customers were pre-ordering more than 2,500 Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles per minute.”



It's all about the game.

Unlikely, companies put themselves in the best light they can.  If they could say "sold 60,000 in an hour" that'd be far more impressive than "peaked at 1k per minute" because if they got 60,000 in an hour they likely peaked at better than 1k per minute.  

@OP:  You can't actually say MS sold more at peak because you have no idea what Sony's peak was as it has not been reported.  All you have is an average over 27 minutes for this latest shipment.


We're talking about Amazon here not MS. I don'y think Amazon is doing any PR for MS and every shipment they get from MS, gets sold out within hours. And they get them frequently.

The PS4 get sold out in less than 1 hour after being available on amazon. And I also check the Xbox One during that time it stays available for hours.

Xbox One has being available since yesterday on Amazon, and they are still available now. Xbox One is selling fine and great in the US, but no need to lie just to make it looks like it's doing a lot better than the PS4.

Separate me from the crowd please. I just don't like the angry mob mentality looking down on everything Xbox on this site.
