I actually saw a PS4 getting sold today! I was in the store to sell in some games and get me a new working PSP cause my old one went bonkers (only cost me 18 euros).
Anyways the other clerk went inside and came out with a PS4 with killzone shadowfall for some guy. There were smiles all around. I felt a bit jealous, but i definitly wouldnt want to play Killzone Shadowfall (or most FPS's for that matter. Not a genre i enjoy much without heavy RPG elements).

No biggie, i will get one eventually, when theres stuff i actually want to play. The PS3 is still delivering alot more of what i want.

Yes, sold out until March / April.

??? Walked into my local EB games in Brisbane and there were 3 PS4's sitting there.

Can you tell me what store? I'll call them to see if I can get one.

After thinking about they could have been display boxes, there seems to be an incredible demand for PS4's everywhere, but I didn't inquire about them. It was Toombul EB Games, Brisbane

by going bonkers do you mean buttons randomly pressing? if you happened to have a CFW on it there is a program called Keycleaner can fix a lot of issues with buttons going crazy, google it if that's the case, a spare psp at christmas time could make an awesome pressie for someone :)

Nono... i opened it up in the past (it was a model 2000) cause there was something off with the analog stick. It was a PSP i got used and the dumbass of the previous owner tried to pull the analog out and the spring around it came loose, making the analog feels like its stuck. In my noobness i thought i'd oil it up a bit. What i ended up was with still a very stuck analog stick and a screen with oil stains.

After that i opened it up. I fixed the analog stick (where i found out what the problem really was) and i opened up the screen layers to clean up the oil stain on the screen for the most part. But the oil i put it weted a component that connects the left shift and the up and left buttons to the PSP. There was nothing i could do about that. What happened is that because the connecting "wire" (its a copper connection really and not a physical wire) beeing weted, and i believe it was already in very bad shape, the left shift, up and left buttons would temporarely get locked even though i stopped pressing them for a while. This made action/driving games unplayable. I only kept RPG's for it and got a Vita instead.

Recently with some fan translations coming out and the discovery of a certain Cfw utility, i just decided to trade in some games and finally get a new one so i can play whatever i want. I got a 3000 model this time, used aswell. But this time it was in great condition and even brought a case and a 4GB memory card for free. The power source seems bonkers though, so its a good one i have the one from the PSP 2000, wich works perfectly.

It was quite the learning journey, but now i got a pretty PSP 3000 (its black, the 2000 was silver). I dont think the software would solve the problem i had with the PSP2000, as it was a hardware problem.

Ah okie, I just had my original psp go absolutely crazy with the controls after a crash in the GBA emulator for it while the emulator apparently was after taking complete control of the buttons of the psp down to the bios lvl, but Keycleaner fixed that for me.

If you were really good at carefully removing parts from inside the psp you know there are replacement bits and pieces for them on ebay pretty cheap and some even work!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PSP-2000-SLIM-LITE-D-PAD-BUTTON-SENSOR-GENUINE-ORIGINAL-PART-UK-STOCK-FREE-POS-/310702883352?pt=UK_VG_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item485755c218

but.... I tried to replace the bar at the end of a mates psp 1000 before, the one with Home, volume buttons and the start and select. Yeah... got it on ebay for about 2euros, spent about 10 hours total trying to carefully as possibly replace it, got it lined up, stuck it in perfectly, was so careful with it, then when closing it after all that work I caught a piece of wireing badly and when I went to reopen it I broke a part of the main PCB in 2.... Was so depressing, it's still actually downstairs just left as it was when it broke, didn't have the heart to Bin it even after that amount of time wasted.

Yeah to fix all the problems with that PSP 2000 it took me a whole day of hard work. Now that i got the new one and the PSP2000 has no more use, i still cant bring myself to throw it out either. ^^

I guess we get attached to them after putting that much work into it.

Yeah I'm the same way but kinda with everything, I still have my atari2600 and NES set up at my 42in HDTV lol. But when it came time to replace my first psp1000 model I just got another 1000 because I had hardmoded a Pandora battery and I couldn't have a psp without the hatsune Mika games on it and all that emulation abilities the psp has. I often think of handing my psp with my full megadrive/snes/GB/GBC/GBA sets of games on it to myself as a child and just watching my head explode with disbelief.

Nope. I see a lot of them around in the major stores.

They retail for $1850 though. Of course.
