PS4 will have a very tough chance to beat XB1 in NA.... I dont get this logic. SNES won NA but the N64 got crushed in NA. PS2 set records then last gen happened. Fact is besides the dedicated bases each has for fanboys NA is not that loyal. NA goes with the console that is "in" and percieved as the better value. PS4 gets the for both of those. I dunno, I still expect the Xbone to outsell the PS4 in NA eventually. Or at least sell better in NA than in Europe. It's always been that way tbh, although this gen may be different.

Yep. Really only gen 6 was predictable. We all knew PS2 was going coast and when GTA3 dropped as an exclusive on the PS2 it was over. Every other gen atleast since 4 has turned out alot different than anticipated.

X360 hade a year headstart and was much cheaper. It also got to a affordable pricelevel much sooner.(there were X360 arcade deals as low as $150 while ps3 was still around $350-$400). X360 made a killing during the holidays in the U.S.

I still believe Playstation is the stronger brand though even in the U.S. although their really close their. However with PS4 being $100 cheaper PS4 should take the lead pretty easily in the U.S.

Granted I think if the N64 used CDs in addition to carts (why not ... the Saturn had both a CD drive + cart slot) ... and many of the same third party games as Sony, they probably beat Sony that gen.
