As i recall back when we were first dating. I think i spent more on gaming.

I mean what... with feminism and stuff... generally we went by a "Whoever makes the plans pays for the date" situation, so it ended up pretty 50-50, and a date usually just consisted of going out to eat or renting a movie or both.

Which usually ended up being pretty cheap because we lived in Cleveland and all the vegetarian places were cheap.

Now a days were share living costs and I have a huge steam backlog... so depending on how you parse that out it could go either way....

but I rarely buy ANY video game for more then $5.

$7 is what it'd consider a fair price for most.

Only pay original retail if it's a game i feel like i MUST have right away.

I spend the most money on rent and food.

I'm currently in the same boat with respect to food. Since I discovered that I have a gluten sensitivity (and some mild colon issues), I’ve hard to make alterations to my diet. I’m always checking ingredients and drawing comparisons. The majority of foods that I have to eat are very expensive (devoid of wheat and vegetable oils like soy, corn, etc).

People spend money on porn?

I'm kind of in the same boat as kasz216, I purchase dirt cheap games quite often and I have a behemoth backlog, the Steam and GOG ones together is probably at least 100 games and then there are the bucketloads of bargain bin games and other stuff I stumble across in stores on top.

Rent, food, electricity and transport steals the budget though, especially now that I haven't had steady pay since August (which is luckily about to change drastically now).

Errr... i spend more on games than my significant other... but i spend more in food than in games. Of course, other fixed expenses take most of my money (like rent).

Videogames are such a small expense in my life, it pales in comparison to my other expenses, its not even worth mentioning it as expense.

I don't really consider food expenses outside of dates. Date expenses + birthday/anniversary/christmas gifts are about equal to my nerd hobby spending. A little more if you just count one section.

Yup, rent is where the majority of my funds go. $1600  (when you include heat an hydro) a month for a frieken townhouse condo with 3 bedrooms. Damn overpriced Canadian housing and rental market I tell you. I'm looking forward to the crash when it happens in the next 2 years!
