As i recall back when we were first dating. I think i spent more on gaming.
I mean what... with feminism and stuff... generally we went by a "Whoever makes the plans pays for the date" situation, so it ended up pretty 50-50, and a date usually just consisted of going out to eat or renting a movie or both.
Which usually ended up being pretty cheap because we lived in Cleveland and all the vegetarian places were cheap.
Now a days were share living costs and I have a huge steam backlog... so depending on how you parse that out it could go either way....
but I rarely buy ANY video game for more then $5.
$7 is what it'd consider a fair price for most.
Only pay original retail if it's a game i feel like i MUST have right away.
I spend the most money on rent and food.

most of my money goes to bills, the money I make off of side jobs is what I use for gaming. Some months are better than others. As far as the dating scene, enjoying the single life atm, after being tied up for years with someone and that finally ending for good about 6 months ago. I am just enjoying friends, freedom to do what i want when i want, and being happy, though some days are an exception and just suck. And no need to pay for porn. Just get a good antivirus program. :)
Games. Most of it.
I'm single and I absolutely hate going out so that doesn't cost me money :)
The only other thing I can think of that cost a bit of money beside gaming is doing awesome stuff with friends, like recently we went bungee jumping.
... is significant other classed as a hobby?
Comics, over the year at least, or it used to be, cut a back recently because most stories are rubbish. Buying a house, paying bills etc takes most of my money, so the actual values spent on my hobbies isn't much.
Hmm, pie.
I don't really have a whole lot to spend on stuff that's not necessary, but for the most part that's video games. My girlfriend is probably one of the only things that could regularly require money, and she's not the kind of a person so I'm safe!
Tenpin Bowling. Over AU$1800 per year on league easily beats out the few hundred that I usually spend on gaming (a little more in a year where I buy hardware, like the Wii U this year).
Gym membership probably also comes out ahead of gaming, at a little over AU$700 a year.
Traveling would be my number one. South Korea (one week) and Spain (three weeks) this year. Spent more money than I spend on gaming in a generation, perhaps. Over $3000 for sure.
Second would be going out with friends and drinking. For instance, I went out the last three days and again tomorrow. In four days I'll spend over $150. I don't spend that much every week, but still it adds up to a lot of money in a year.
I probably spend no more than $300 a year on gaming, unless I buy new HW. This year it'll probably be around $1000 though.
I don't spend much on my wife because she's not as outgoing as me. Plus she works full time so, considering I probably spend much more money than her, it's more like she spends money on me...
No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.
