They are receiving supply because the Amazon gets in stock some times.

3DS was mega-overtracked as expected

At least I'm not the lowballer now.
GT4 released a year and a half before the PS3 came out, I think GT6 will also have strong legs, but not 10 million strong. Especially with the game being available digitally from day 1 (and digitally for PS4)

I think it could be stock which is causing the UK figures to be so high, especially because as an MS territory last-gen they may be particularly keen to get the jump on the Xbone this gen, hence they may have diverted stock this way. However if that's what they were doing surely there wouldn't be such bad supply issues in the USA where the situation was similar last-gen
Shipping delays sounds plausible, but we'll see, I expect that all these figures will be adjusted at some point, not quite sure whether it'll be up or down though. I guess the wait for a clear verdict continues, not that it's that important anyway
Europe Software up. But it's kinda weird the software numbers are literally just Germany, France and UK numbers added together.

I think PS4 still has a shot at topping the XBO lifetime in USA. Even if we hear XBO outsold PS4 in 2013, I still think PS4 will win in this region. As for 360 games being ported to PC/PS3, I didn't know most 360 games would do that when I bought my 360. I bought my 360 before my PS3 in January 2007, and I bought it largely for Gears of War (ported to PC) and Lost Planet (timed exclusive). I feel MS didn't have that "characteristic" back in 2007. Now I feel most gamers expect 3rd party XBO games to be timed (hence all the controversy over Titanfall). As for pirating games, what's your point? Illegally copies software doesn't affect hardware sales. Heck if it's easier to pirate DVD games on 360, wouldn't that boost hardware sales? This should reduce the tie ratio (# of games sold per console) too. Anyway, we will see, right now it's far too early to tell anything. Even if XBO falls behind PS4 in USA, Halo 5 could be a game changer, and some goes in the other direction with Uncharted. |
First of all sorry for the late replay. Life problems. (*sigh*)
Im only gonna say something about the pirating games. I was just saying thats why some games sold poorly on xbox 360. It had nothing to do with hardware sales. As far as i know pirating games on xbox 360 was/is very easy. From what i was told by others you could have a chip installed on your xbox 360 to play pirated games. Could you do that on ps3?
I am sure halo 5 will help boost console sales. If i remember correctly there were over 500,000k xbox 360 consoles sold the day halo 3 launched (USA only) I am sure halo 5 would do something similar.
Did you know ps4 only supports a 2.4 wireless signal?
The xbox one supports a wireless adapter capable of 2.4 - 5.0ghz.
The ONLY next gen console to do so.

That PS4 number looks way too high to me. |
That Wii U number looks way too high.
Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

You do not remember correctly. 360 sold around 130k in the USA the week Halo 3 launched. A 19% boost from the previous week. Globally it did 230k (a 40% boost) |
You must have missed that article on Gamespot then. I remember reading it correctly. Microsoft said it themselves.
