I didn't meant to say it had released a new AAA game this week. I was referring to the fact that it released a recent AAA title. Whether I was incorrect or not about the price claims or not is completely irrelevant. 

3D World is in its 3rd week with these numbers.

If you think 50k for a home console in Japan on a week without a price cut or a major system selling release is "pathetic" you frankly don't know what you're talking about.

Yet were talking about a new console. 

Not new anymore, it's been out over a year.

It's pretty recent.

It's not really an excuse per se but I was just pointing out that you put up a bad example. 

Dude, nintendo just released 3D world. I was seriously expecting more than 50k.

Nintendo needs to find some way to sustain WII U sales to a rock solid level otherwise it's gonna sell less than gamecube which in itself is extremely pathetic.

yes it is! Its only first week Dec #s as well. Do you see the other platforms close to 48k this week?
