Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One sells 2 Million Units in 18 Days

Sold = Shipped

This.  Last time, they gave shipped numbers, only 16h after the launch lol....

NPD numbers will be interesting

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Around the Network

Very very impressive given several factors:

The online negativity about the console, the $499 price point, and the weak market for Xbox in Europe.

They're really not too far behind PS4 likely (Sony announced 2.1 m in 16 days, whereas this is 2m in 18 days I believe).

In revenue terms for the same time period MS is likely way ahead due to the 25% higher price point.

I am sure PS4 is still more popular, XBO stays in stock longer. However I wonder how things would look if XBO was 399 like PS4.

this also proves the longstanding GAF FUD campaign about huge yield problems with XBO was nonsense, and what little credibility CBOAT had left has been shattered. I honestly wonder if MS could look into suing Neogaf for libel, given they conduct an orchestrated campaign against Xbox. Probably not.

Based on??

Offical figures?

UK: 150k
AUS: 66k
ES: ~25k

Now some guesses...

Germany: 80k? It can be lower than AUS
France: 70k? Same here

Just that and we already have: ~400k

Week 1... after the AUS numbers I started to think MS splited the 1m day one amost 50%/50% between US and the others 11 countries.

What was your agenda in making this comment? You thought i'm going to discredit everything somini said, right? lol

Look up the date of the tweet about PS4's sales and compare that to the PS4's release date and you'll see it wasn't 17 days.

Puggsly replied to me and we both know that's what he was talking about, i'm sorry you're having a hard time understanding the joke.

Why would i be baiting Kowen into anything and what use would it have? The dude does and says everything and gets away with it, as he's rarely banned/warned for it. So don't get all emotional, we're just having a discussion here.

Yes. I wanted to discredit everything you said because you were irritating me.

Though I do appologise. It wasnt 17 days, it was actually 18. Andrew House announced on the 3rd of December that the PS4 had done 2.1 Million units. The PS4 released on the 15th of November. 18 full days later and Sony say 2.1 Million. A far cry from the 10 days you said, as after 10 days the console wasnt even out in Europe...

And kow never gets banned or warned? Hahahahahahaha! Good one

Seriously though. Stop trying to bait him. It makes you look silly.

the 10 days i'm refering to are the sales of the first week in the US + 3 days after the console was available in the EU.

Calling people silly must be the only way for you to have a discussion when your arguments are weak. And where did i say he was never banned?

let say 1.4 m in 16 days, 700k in 2 days for ps4.

The questions we should be making are:

Is Xbox One outselling PS4 in NA? And why?

Or

Where in the world Xbox One is doing so great to compensate continental EU?

$1bn revenue on consoles alone.... at least.

More actually given the UK and Euro price, probably about $1.25bn.

Biggest console launch ever in revenue?

yes

Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

OK, now i get it what my numbers were so confusing, I wasn't counting correctly the vgchartz weeks, i was counting weeks since launch.

If VGC is counting 1'5 million Xbox One until 30 november, and if VGC shows 1'8-1'9 million until 7 December..., VGC will be spot on, and this is the week i was considering 2nd week (3rd week for VGC). My 2'2 million figure will be for the 4th VGC week (14 December). By then PS4 could be above 3 million.

So nothing changed after all...ufff i was making me crazy with this numbers!!

Seriously any stick MS gets on neogaf is all of their own making and deservedly so for the way MS conducted themselves and Sony got similar stick for the ps3 launch, gaf just calls it like they see it there's no agenda there
