What are you talking about? vgchartz is no different then pachter, both numbers come from guesses.

Plus, didn't vgchartz claim xbox one sold 900k in north america alone, only to be proven wrong a week later, and xbox one isn't at 1.13m nor is PS4 a 150k ahead, because vgchartz is never 100% correct.

That said, we know according to Sony they sold 2.1 million PS4s by Dec 1st, with 700k of those going to Europe, leaving 1.4 million for total NA PS4 sales for November. Didn't Microsoft themselves admit the split for the over a million day one sales = 700k or 750k for North America? That would mean they only sold 150k - 200k on black friday, which wouldn't make any fucking sense for a variety of reasons.

Sony has a 300k advantage in North America for the month of November absolute tops, I guarantee it. Wouldn't be surprised if it's closer to only 200k, actually.

Pachter said 1.25m vs 750k respectivily... the article got the 500k from these numbers.

MS didn't splited the data over the 1 million... we know for sure UK (150k) and AUS (66k)... and no next-gen console sold a lot more than 200k in BF... both have heavly supply issues.

VGChartz fixed their numbers by 100k which is in line with the site accuracy (10% to 20%). But I still think weird why only one console number is adjusted and others stay the same. Do they have different sources for each company?

I don´t remember VGchartz being more than 25% off in their "guestimatives", however Pachter has a long record for missed estimatives. And the funny part is that he doesn´t have to be accureted. His clients don´t care if a console sold more or less 100K in a month in a territorie. They are realy satisfied with the companies quartely reports.

I would imagine, and hope, the get some preliminary data, too. Maybe that's what Pachter uses for his guesstimate. Does he usually wait this long to put out his estimates? I can't remember.

ugh, why are you making this more difficult than it is, Pachter is a subscriber, he gets same data as everyone else, full hardware and software.
