they would have gotten 2M in the US, considering gamestop had over 2.3 million more pre orders to fulfill after the 1 million sony sold..
and more then likely 2 million in Europe..

They are having... low shipments compared with Sony. Over in US > Under outside... WW it is overtracked yet. |
They might have shipped less than the PS4 overall, but they honestly don't have yield issues man. I asked at a retailer in my city today and he said that they've gotten several Xbox One shipments from MS since release already (no new PS4 shipments), that console has been in good stock here for over a week now.

My evidences... lower shipment = yields issues... or did you thing MS is shipping less on pourpose? I'm sure if they can produce more they are doing that right now... the % of good chips from MS is lower than Sony... all the others parts of the consoles are easy to produce for both.
PS. I expect to Sony have issues with low GDDR5 production but seems like Sansumg is deliverying what Sony needs.
Oh okay, well the ps4 is still completely sold out, and they are probably approaching 2 million in the U.S.. so

Gamestop said that they made a mistake on that, the 2.3 million figure was for the combined Xbox One and PS4 email notification list, not just PS4. |
Nope, that's what some hoped would be the case but it isn't.

No. That's what some sites tried to spin... the Gamestop's exec are talking only about PS4 demand in the call... no mention about Xbone.

Actually yes they are shipping less on purpose, its how you keep up with demand. See how Xbox One is able to restock retailers every few days? Its a simple strategy that seems to be working.

How?

what i find funny is thinking that increasing your normal production for a demand peek at launch is a smart move
