Forums - Microsoft - MGS: Ground Zeroes Xbox Exclusive Content Trailer - releases 18 march 2014

Am I just overthinking this?

Microsoft funds the Substance version of MGS2: Starring Raiden.

Microsoft pounds their chest at E3 2009 over a non-canon spin-off: Starring Raiden....

Microsoft damage controls trivial at best MGS:GZ PS-exclusive content with their own exclusive content for MGS:GZ:

..................

...Starring Raiden.

Who in the blue of hell is the dildo at Microsoft with the hard-on for Raiden?!

Wow. After the partnership that PS has given the MGS franchise after all these years, Kojima is making, what I'm assuming to be, actual content exclusive to Xbox while all the PS crowd gets is horse armor?

Anyway, this looks amazing. And there can't even be a debate about the visuals: all MGS cutscenes are always in-engine, so this game is going to look ridiculous

Na. Both MS and Sony are getting an exclusive mission.

Sony will be getting Snake skin and a mission called MGS1 Deja-Vu. MS is getting Raiden and the mission is called Jamais Vu.

Make no mistake this is Konami's desperate attempt to milk its fanbase, the super hardcore will buy both version just for the exclusive mission and later on down the line, you can bet both 'exclusive' missions will be availible on the other platform.

Yea, I found out about Deja Vu was more than just a skin after I made this post, but based on the trailer, it just looks like you're playing Shadow Moses again. We got the PS1 skin and Shadow Moses in MGS4 already, so it still seems like the short end of the stick.

On a side note, though, I don't know if Deja Vu would appear on the XBone. Sony may have a 100% exclusive deal with MGS1 or something, like MGS4, which would explain why they didn't make either of those games in the HD collection, and why the Legacy Collection is PS3 exclusive.

And yea, Twin Snakes appeared on the GCN, but the naming may have allowed a loophole with that. We saw the same thing with Ninja Gaiden: Sigma, which would make Ninja Gaiden (no Sigma) still "exclusive" to the Xbox, because Sigma (and Twin Snakes) was a "remake" and not a "remaster". But a straight up HD remaster of MGS1 may not be allowed on a MS platform.

Calm down, PS fans. You still a exclusive feature: native 1080p & 60fps. Do you feel happy now?

That's like me getting a new Honda Civic and you get a Lambo with a Honda Civic engine. Yea, the Civic runs in perfect condition, but it's something that's cheap and everyone has had already. The Lambo, on the other hand, while underperforming based on Lambo standards due to the Civic engine, is still a goddamn Lambo. I'll take the pretty Lambo with the shitty engine over the shitty car with the shitty engine.

If they can make the content availible in Twin Snakes then there is no reason why a homage mission with 'new contents' can't come to the XBox platform. I am 100% confident that this will be avalible to both platform somewhere down the track, if not by additional DLC then by another 'complete edition' bundle of MGSV that includes phantom pain and all DLC.

Konami pretty much only has this one franchise to milk these days. Everything else besides this and PES are no longer making them money or has been driven to the ground as an IP by bad decisions.

I pop-in just to say, that while MGS1 indeed is 100% Sony's property, the only reason MGS4 never made it into the Xbox360 was that the console was too limited to handle the size of MGS4.

In fact, Kojima (or Konami) talked about releasing Legacy on both next-gen consoles.

I'll take this over a snake skin aswell

Did you know ps4 only supports a 2.4 wireless signal?

The xbox one supports a wireless adapter capable of 2.4 - 5.0ghz.

The ONLY next gen console to do so.
