So to all the Game Of Thrones fans on VgChartz....how will this actually work?

With how far the books have gone (NO SPOILERS post season 3 events please) & the TV show...what can the game really give in terms of choice in the narrative. Could it give us hypothetical situations/scenarios etc.

Who would be suitable to be a lead character etc. I love Daenerys but as she doesn't interact with many other people in her continent I'm worried she won't feature much!

There's so many questions that need answering!

Either way it was an exciting announcement...and if it does come in 2014 I CANT WAIT!!!

The only problem is that you need someone unique who you can try and inject some of your own personality into, given this is a choice driven game.

They can get around the whole not actually being able to affect anything, because none of your choices in the Walking Dead actually mattered, so I assume they'll do the same

hmmm they may go for more of a secondary character if they wanna achieve that well. As the lead GOT characters have a very defined personality etc.

Yeah, it just don't think you can do that. They have said that it will be more based on the show than the book, so that does narrow it down a bit

To go back to the Walking Dead again, they made up a new character and only had brief cameos from comic characters (I saw about 2 from the tv show), but I think here they will go closer to what has been on TV

What I want:

I rather they not copy the image of the actors in the series, but follow the way the books describes them.

I would hope they separate the story lines by the characters, like the books separates their accounts with chapters, but don't make it chronologically. Just their story lines based on the books and the player gets to choose which to play in the beginning and the ability to stop where they want to and pick up another character story line from the main menu.

I want all the dialogue from the books in the game; the descriptive parts I can live without.

What I would do:
If I was head of the gaming department, then look into how many people we have on staff and divide them up into different groups for a friendly competition. Each group will get a character and their accounts from the book and they will try to write a game scenario for that character and chapters he/she has in the book. Pit the divided groups against each other and offer a nice price at the end for the one voted the winner. I believe this may show different playing styles that could be developed and placed into the end game.]

I'm not a Game of Thrones fan, but I am a Telltale fan, so they have my faith.

The Wolf Among Us would be a more reasonable comparison.

Roberts Rebellion and decide how it plays out?

They are limited due to books not being done so cannot surprise without spoiling. My guess would be base in long in the past so most not familiar with events.

Have no idea, but given how previous game attempts have gone my expectations are low.

The Wolf Among Us is based off of a comic series (Fables), as is The Walking Dead. The main character is also an important character from Fables, so there you have it.

Even if Telltale don't actually make good games, their stories are at least decent. It will be better than what's come before, though that isn't really saying anything is it
