Forums - Gaming - No Man's Sky Trailer - Just 4 People may have stolen the show at VGX

Day One !!

Just too bad that the game is not in the Star Wars Universe or Mass Effect Universe :(

Because, to able to discover and fly to others planets to visit is awesome !!!!

It really was quite impressive

But the procedural generation will only go so far. It will keep me busy until Star Citizen actually comes out

Start Citizen hasnt shown anything substantial though...

The potential is there but it doesnt seem like they have any content...yet!

ok hold up. time out....

600 people to make Resident Evil 6.
300 people for FFXIV:ARR
$28 million in crowdfunding for Star Citizen.

And It took just 4 people to make this. HOLYSHIT!

YEah the big studios are definitely doing something wrong. I think the focus of the big studios is waaaay off. They dont focus on pushing the gameplay...

Its like they focus on everything but gameplay. And when their game bombs they blame everyone but themselves.

big companies can do it too dude, its just that these 4 guys is raising the bar.

Yep, I'll admit, I was one of the people who was writing off what Hello Games had to show after hearing they were debuting a new game.

I was wrong. This looking stunning. Looking forward to the platform announcements.

As a side note, it's amazing what can come out of little pockets of the UK sometimes. All those fantastic racing games from Liverpool in the seventh generation. And now Guildford seem to be pumping out gem after gem with Lionhead; Media Molecule and now Hello Games.

Oh my, this is what I've wanted from Battlefront 3! That seamless transition from ground to space. :o

A bit off topic, but I always found it really surprising that the closest Battlefront ever got to this was Elite Squadron on PSP which actually let you transition ground to space in battles (but with a loading screen).

I very much hope it's something they add properly to Battlefront 3, too.

So can someone fill me on what the game is about? The trailer didn't really tell me anything

Same here, I expect at least this feature from DICE ! It would be too disappointing if they don't add this !

If you guys like this sort of game, here's a couple that have been greenlit for Steam. They are both in alpha at the moment I believe, but StarMade has released an open alpha build I believe, and Planet explorers has a kind-of sandbox tech demo at the moment.

I love this genre. I mean I liked Minecraft, but I love that the genre is now big enough that it can support many more of the open-world build-em-ups and we can get Minecraft-esq games with different themes (like sci-fi), graphical art styles and gameplay types.

Fixed.  The truth carries much more weight.  ;)
