please do keep 4-6 games for yourself as a compensation :)

get them a tablet :P

That is also a very good idea (the tablet, not the compensation).  A Kindle or iPad mini are kid friendly, and there are a lot of educational apps as well.

dont commercialise his kids with apple crap lol. tablets no go lol.

If you don't like Apple, you can always go with a Kindle, and throw in an Amazon Prime subscription.  The parents would be happy too :)  (*assuming they are all in the US).

i thought kindles were jsut for reading books. Even their screen is designed to be like paper almost to make it easier on the eye to read.

Wii U's for everyone!

Go with WiiU ;)
I think PS4/Xbox One are more for mature gamers...

Assuming that they will keep these consoles for 5 or so years, the 13-year old will be an 18-year old at the end of that span.  I think he will be mature enough for one of the "big" consoles.  Unless he is a big Mario fan, he will be disappointed with the WiiU when he cannot play online with his friends.

The other option is to get both, but then that limits you on how many games you can get.

Well they arent really struggling for money...In a couple years if he wants a ps4/one, then buy him one but for now, I really don't see many games suitable for kids on either of those consoles...

@everyone: Is it just me who feels buying M rated games for someone else's kid is generally a bad idea?

2 9 year old girls

3DS definitely, a Wii U for the 7 year old, PS4 for 13 year old. I'm not sure about the girls.

There are Kindle e-readers that are for reading, but I was referring to the Kindle HDX which is essentially an Android tablet with an Amazon skin (called Fire OS).  It is "limited" in some respects compared with standard Android tablets (like no access to the Google Play Store - only the Amazon store), but it is heavily subsidized by Amazon.  They have great parental controls, and the Amazon "Mayday" button is really good for people who are not tech savvy.

One 3ds for each kid and a bunch of games.

One home console for each household. Considering they´re kids, get a WiiU an two or three wiimotes (so Dad can play with them) and some multiplayer games. WiiPartyU and Mario & Sonic come bundled with controllers.

All in the same house?
PS4+WiiU+Gaming PC
If money allows it throw a 3DS at everyone

They will be happy

Must get them a copy of ac4.
