Forums - Sony - Gran Turismo 6 microtransaction pricing revealed - Jag XJ13 - £119.95

I've always said that I was okay with optional MT's, but I really don't want this to become a standard. It might start out okay, but eventually you might be forced to pay to get a good experience.

I approve of this. Unlike Microsoft, Sony is bleeding money and is about to go down the shitter, so they have every right to put micro-transactions in their games. Go, Sony!

I rest my case. :)

"Poor Sony, they are down on their luck and any shady practices that would make me disjust Microsoft would by contrast make me be a proud Sony gamer"

Well let's not generalize, there are more Playstation fans in here saying how this is bullshit.

Damn you for taking my post seriously. I thought the last part of my post would give it away. Guess not.

Wipe that smile off your face.

two jobs to pay for microtransactions

Eurogamer's Martin Robinson has been playing the game and tells me GT6's economy works exactly the same as GT5's, with progression, payouts and car prices very similar.

That's a relief at least, that was my biggest concern. Just don't touch the microtransactions. With GT5 I can make 20 million credits in a few hours, no need to pay 120 pounds.  I still don't like it, if people are dumb enough to use them the in game economy could still be affected in future releases.

People have awful sarcasm detectors. That's why I always add smileys, even though I hate smileys.

i'm fine with forza doing this, i'm fine with gt6 doing this.
the basic game is already there like it was in previous games, now you just have options to purchase things with real money.
I never got the hate with microtransactions..

Thing is even though you may not be serious....I wouldn't have to look far to see people accepting this while disparaging MS with Forza 5.

So......... :)
