All kidding asides, hopefully that wasn't done as a response to this video. Sony's marketing is emotional/aspirational, whereas all Microsoft is doing is giving a discount/rebate.

I think a better analogy is someone who gives a giftcard/cash as a Christmas present to someone as opposed to someone who gives a non-monetary/inexpensive item that has sentimental value as a Christmas present.

Seriously, I really don´t understand why people are making such a fuzz about Knack sales. It simply doesn´t make any sense to discuss this.

It only sold what it sold because PS4 still doesn´t have many options of games right now. And Super Mario 3D World was still not launched in Europe until last weekend. It will easily reach 1 million+ sales much faster than Knack, which may reach that milestone worldwide but will very soon be forgotten. After all, PS4 fans are not platform lovers.

And we don´t have digital sales numbers..... a format that Nintendo fans are embracing more and more.
