It is. But at the same time, I think the lenght is just fine as it is. The levels are all very diversified. The game never feels like a drag.

I am going to pick up Mario 3D World just before or after Christmas as it is clearly a great game- I think Pikmin is good too but it seems that the 3D HD games are giving Nintendo a little trouble or they are not wanting to spend as much money on them because their 3D HD games on the Wii U all seem to be on the short side - I know they did not develop wonderful 101 but they funded it I believe and it is on the short side too (great game though)
It makes me consider how long it will be before games like X and Zelda that really can t be short by definition will be ready to release- the time and cost to develop either of these games has to be considerable-
i prefer this to the galaxies...i played this much more than i played the galaxy games already..and that is just single player...the times i do play multiplayer it is a blast and i definitely would like to play more multiplayer with my girl but she been not in the mood lately
I just got to world 7 and the game is finally getting my adrenaline pumping. I'm still at the point of "not as good as Mario Galaxy".
The fact that the controls are horrible compared to Galaxy kills a lot of the game for me. Mostly eight directions feels downright bad and they say it's because of Wiimote only players. Even then, you can tilt the stick ALMOST 45 degrees the next direction, and then you will not run in the predefined eight spots.
So why not give us stick players a full analog option? It can be good to have what we have now with the Gamepad and Pro controller missing the eight spots around the sticks. But going from Galaxy to 3D World with a nunchuk feels HORRIBLE! It feels EXACTLY like two of the minigames from Mario Party 9 which were platform stages. I don't want that feeling in a 3D Mario game.
That said, I enjoy the setup and general progression of the game, feels just right. But the whole thing compared to Galaxy? Not even close in my opinion.
Yep.
It's superb. A friend bought it and we stormed his Wii U to make a 3-player playthrough in only 2 sessions.
We still have all the extra worlds to go, but so far we didn't have much trouble so....bring it on.
Cat Suit item for Smash Bros. (?)

I can tell you exactly why, those booster pads lol, that was a control problem for me in galaxies cause you can easily overshot unless you are very precise with those damn booster pads. If there is an actual complaint I have, it's more towards the Wii U Game Pad itself and not the game, which are those fucking triggers, Wii U triggers are shit compared to 360 Pads even though better than the PS3, and worse than both X1 and PS4 ones, I fucked up so many long jumps due to those fucking triggers.
This level in SMG2 fucked me over so many times that I got at least 10 lives from it before I got it, if this was 8 point control then it would have been ass easy due to the nature of the play style which is something that is not a problem with 3D World so I have no complaints about it.

PS: You will see what I mean by those damn booster pads eventually if you ever get to the real end game....

I definitely think its better than both Galaxies. It was the most fun ive had in a game in a LONG time.
but yea the game went from utter disappointment at E3 to being one of my favorite games of all time.
