PS4 is substantially better on both (not my opinion ...read the articles)

AC4 hasn't been compared yet but simply from looking at full HD gifs you can notice the xbox one version looks much worse...the difference in anti aliasing is almost as bad as on ghosts,

here's a snippet from Kotaku's comparisons if you want more than just Digital foundry's opinion

 third-party games like Assassin’s Creed IV, Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts all look better on PS4 than their Xbox One counterparts, some — ACIV and Ghosts in particular — considerably so.

Yeah 720p looks much sharper and crispier than 1080p. X1 clearly has the edge over the ps4. I mean why do PCs even bother with 1440p and 4k resolutions it is all the same. For x1 less is more apperantely. But seriously if you have a 42inch+ TV you should be able to spot the differenes. YT videos are not the ideal way to do comparisions as they are compressed. This is something you have to experience and view for yourself.

When the difference was 720p vs 680p on 360 and Ps3 the difference mattered, as did the 2fps difference .
Now the Ps4 is rendering twice the pixels in some cases it suddenly means nothing. The Ps4 will have both the better multiplats and better 1st party performance this gen. The writing was on the wall.

FIFA 14 is the more close but it is sharper on PS4.

Battlefield 4 you can see the PS4 is sharper and have way less aliasing... BTW people are having issues to snipe in BF4 for Xbone because the lower resolution.

I'm playing the Xbox One version of Assassin's Creed IV and I can definitely say that it looks really nice and with little hiccups aside from some mild pop-in but that's to be expected for an open world game like ACIV. Heard the PS4 version looks nice too.
