Walmart in my area. They had 25 $99 360's for 6pm and there were enough people in line by 5pm for all of them. I think I counted 50 of the $149 12GB PS3's and maybe 10 of the $200 250GB PS3's with the Last of Us/Batman bundle. I was there with my brother waiting in line with him for a 70" Vizio he wanted. They only had 2 registers open in electronics and IIRC, like 9 lines for different items (the 3 consoles I already mentioned, a 2DS deal, a couple tablets, Skylanders, Infinity, couple TV's.
So even after the sale started it took at least another hour just to check out. In that time I saw 3 people line up for the PS3 bundle, and 2 people for the 12GB bundle. I hope people are realizing what a joke the 12GB PS3 bundle is and were avoiding it for that reason. It also made me wonder how much the 360 will sell this holiday, that was the 2nd most sought after product it seemed behind some shitty cheap 32" HDTV. Even more so than PS4 or Xbone, which were being sold on opposite ends of the store and both quickly sold out before the event even started, not surprisingly. I remember the Wii Mini being on the cart too but not a single fuck was given by consumers.
The only real commotion moments were a swarm of people ripping into some towels and other shit in the middle of the store a good 5 minutes early which caused a chain reaction of everyone tearing into everything that was out on the floor. Then maybe 40 minutes after the sale started, some drunk guy tried to cut in a line for a Disney Infinity set. They had to call a "security team" who turned out to be one small black lady and the drunk guy promised to meet the main guy who was calling him out for cutting in the parking lot. I kind of wish I'd stuck left outside when that guy did just to see what happened.
I really like what Walmart does now, they have lines for almost everything, and their 1 hour in stock guarantee allows you to shop around for other things if you want and not miss out on some of the stuff. Like they had some tablets and iPad Minis and other shit where you could get in line up to an hour after the sale starts and be guaranteed the item by Christmas. I expect other big retailers and even smaller ones like Target and KMart to follow suit on that.
Unfortunately for myself personally I didn't see a single thing on BF ads that I was interested in.
