This is a very reassuring article and glad to see SEGA treating Atlus with respect. Also the part about America was great xD

Jet Set Radio Future made by Atlus? Sounds neat.

Minty fresh cats, I didn't even think of that. Look at my arms, I have goose bumps. Can you imagine if SEGA got ahold of Persona? It would make Sonic look like a success story.
As for Atlus, a Yakuza RPG in the style of Persona. DO IT. All the hostess club visits you could ever want. You could have the Yakuza crew fighting off a gang of youkai that are aiming to take over town.

As much as I defend and implore people to try out Sega's lesser known IP's, there would literally be zero point to this. Nobody in their right mind would want to play a port of a 15 year old no-name football game. That's like asking Konami to port PES4 to XBLA and PSN.

A port of the original Xbox game with the VS games having online features will do me fine.
And maybe, juuuuuust maybe a port of Ollie King...

Virtua Striker was very popular in the arcades in the UK.
There might not be a market over for it in NA, but there sure as hell would be in the EU.
No name football game? are you sure you are in the UK?
Virtua Striker is already available on JAP xbla, so why not just give it the people who are most passionate about football (the EU folk)
You can still find Virtua Striker Acrade cabinets to this day in plenty of arcades in london.

I'm talking from the perspective of the mass market, I personally don't have a negative opinion towards the Virtua Striker games, but it certainly didn't prize anyone away from playing FIFA on their consoles in the long run, even back during the glory days of Segaworld/Trocadero in Piccadilly Circus (and again, I was more of a ISS/PES guy back then). We have about as much chance as getting it as North America does of getting an NBA2K2 port.
Interesting that you mention it's on the Japanese XBLA though, but maybe that's just Japan... being Japan, I'm sure there were even a few Baseball games on the Saturn that sold well there.

Yup, Fifa's popularity just keeps growing and growing.
Konami & SEGA really dont stand a chance in that genre as things are.
I can still dream that VS comes to europe one day.
Or, when my 360 career is coming to the end of the road, i could just create a JAP account and get it that way.
Panzer Dragoon, Skies of Arcadia, Shining Force....could be interesting. Sega has made some really good JRPG's in the past.
