So, I've been going through the Holiday sales data from last year, as well as looking at the kind of supply that previous consoles had in their launch season, in an attempt to try and make an accurate preciction. Here we go:

11/16-12/28
3DS: 4.7m
PS3: 3.6m
360: 3.5m
PS4: 3m
XBO: 2.9m
Vita: 1.5m
Wii U: 1.2m

I haven't done that much reasearch, but I think I generally agree with you, I would fiddle with a few numbers

Lower 360, higher PS4 and higher Wii U

PS4 3ds ftw

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

3DS, PS4, PS3, XB1, X360, Vita, Wii U, wii, Vita TV
or
3DS, PS4, XB1, PS3, X360, Wii U, Vita, Wii, Vita TV
or
3DS, PS4, XB1, Wii U, PS3, X360, Vita, Wii, Vita TV.

The 3DS seems like the logical choice here, with neither the PS4 nor the One having enough supply and both missing a presence in key regions, I can't see them moving large amounts. 360 and PS3 should do quite well, there are some really good Black Friday deals and they still have decent momentum for their age.
There isn't much doubt though; the 3DS should easily sell the most.

Yes, that's what I'm considering as the holiday season. Do you consider it a larger period?

Also, bump. Although I'm not that sure if many people are on here currently...

Those were three different periods of time, I was asking which one you are considering the holidays.

Oops. I only read Nov. (just Black Friday) and Dec. That's what I consider the holiday.

What do you consider to be the Holiday season?

Playstation 4 on the fast track to next gen dominance and 150 million sold.

It really depends on the period you define as the holiday season. If the PS4 runs out of stock soon, it could have very low sales in December and technically lose, despite a strong opening.
